Managed to finish? Not very reassuring haha Sounds like they were trying to appease the slow and fast zombie lovers.

As always, if you try to please everyone, you end up pleasing no one. My review is actually kind compared to others I've read.

I just watched a cheesy creature/slasher low-budget movie. Rites of
Spring.

Never heard of that one! Cheesy good, or cheesy bad?

If Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th) and The Creeper (Jeepers Creepers) were to have a baby, Wormface would be the result. It's a low-budget slasher/creature movie that didn't knock my socks off, but didn't leave me gagging either...Well, not too much.

If you're not too anal retentive about your horror movies, the film in itself is not as bad as the others I've seen where I wanted to pour bleach in my eyes after seeing the first 5 minutes, sometimes less. You just have to understand that this movie is not up to par with the great horror classics. It's unoriginal, cliché-ridden and there are numerous flaws as you go along.

However, the actors are good and the cinematography is not bad either. Their shots of the corn field reminded me of Husk, which is an excellent film, by the way. The ending would probably leave you scratching your head, thinking WTF just happened. There are some loose ends left in the story that attempted to add some mystery, but failed.

In short, it's like an appetizer film that would be good to watch on a lazy night. It's watchable, if your expectations are not that high.

Acceptably cheesy good.

I love slashers, so I'll def check it out.

The Faeries of Blackheath Woods

Something peculiar happened that day. Curious Melissa was enchanted by some real Faeries. Ignoring her Mother she followed them down into Blackheath Woods... Melissa never came back.

Speaking of fairies, and even though there aren't actually any in it...have you seen the Mexican horror film Poison For The Fairies?

I looked up the director, and this is a full length film theirs...looks good!

I have. I thought the ending was poetic, but I don't really think it's a horror movie.

It's definitely one of those that I don't mind not being called horror.

Oh, yeah. Don't get me wrong, it's a good movie. Better than I expected before I saw it, actually. It's just that I didn't think it should be classified as horror.

There's definitely films that shouldn't be classified as horror that are like Combat Shock, then there's films that people say aren't but are- JAWS.

Maybe they classify the movies by using Bingo balls.

Breaking Bad Season 4 last episode. Good quality television. So refreshing. Bryan Cranston is awesome. Love him in Malcolm In The Middle too.

The Wig aka Scary Hair

In Seoul, Su-Hyeon is terminal with leukemia, and bald due the treatment of chemotherapy. Her sister Ji-Hyeon buys a long-haired wig, but she does not disclose the truth about Su-Hyeon's health condition to her beloved sister. While wearing the wig, Su-Hyeon recovers her health and hits Ji-Hyeon's former boyfriend Ki-Seok, changing her behavior and relationship with her sister. When Ji-Hyeon discovers that the wig is possessed by a fiend, she finds that it was manufactured using hair of a cadaver and a dark secret about Ki-Seok's sentimental life.

That makes me think of the Amazing Stories episode "Hell Toupee" about a killer toupee haha
