pleased to meet you, hope you guessed my name Now that is why I got hurt by the post. Not anything to do with being Gothic, as most of the Goths are indeed Christians. (I'm not.) |

I love you kiddo, whether you are christian or not .
And so does God. ((((((((thewrongplaces)))))))) |

JMO, but I'd say one can learn a LOT more about human nature reading Milton's Paradise Lost than listening passively to Christian rock bands.
For instance: Who overcomes by force, hath overcome but half his foe. -Kerry O., "Turn off the iPod and pick up a Kindle." |

I think the confusion lies in the fact that this thread was placed in the General Religion forum. Usually this is a discussion/debate forum about religious beliefs. I'm sure no one means any harm.

Because it's not a music forum and not everyone will agree with the message of the lyrics. Because it says "Hell"??? The words are all the truth, and what we as Christians, feel about the devil, but maybe just dont say it outloud. |

How could you not agree with the lyrics to this song, if your a Christian? Well, that's my point....this isn't a Christian forum. So, you are getting responses from people who don't believe the same as you do. |

There are a number of Satanists on Mingle.
Although, they don't necessarily believe in or worship Satan. Some do. |

So, you are getting responses from people who don't believe the same as you do. so these people LIKE the devil? Some, yes, and some simply do not believe in the devil. And even if your not Christian, and dont believe in God or the devil, how are those lyrics offensive. They only way I can understand they would offend someone, is someone who worships the devil, in which case, dont read em, just move on, like I do, when I start reading something I dont like or agree with. |

Well if you dont believe in the devil, than you shouldnt find those words offensive, because they are talking about somegthing you dont believe in. And even if your not Christian, and dont believe in God or the devil, how are those lyrics offensive. They only way I can understand they would offend someone, is someone who worships the devil, in which case, dont read em, just move on, like I do, when I start reading something I dont like or agree with. The only person who was offended was thewrongplaces and you asked why so I was explaining. |

Seems this is a touchy subject.
what is of Yahweh and what is not? Thiers an easy test. you have been freely given so freely give. If you believe and you believe something is from Yahweh. Then remember this. The word is never to be sold. If the Holy Spirit is the inspiration of anything then it was given to whoever free of charge. No one who has such an annointing then it would reason to believe if this is what Yahweh wants it can not be stopped. He created everything. Think about what Yahshua asked for and then his mind will show you..Blessings of Shalom..Miles |

There are a number of Satanists on Mingle. Although, they don't necessarily believe in or worship Satan. Some do. Whatever floats your boat. I dont believe in cramming religion down anybodies throat, and that was not my intenion. I think everyone should be free to believe in whatever they want, whenever they want, and not worry about what other people are doing, or try to convert them. But if someone wrote some lyrics to a song, praising the devil in here, and I started to read them, I would simply quit reading them, and not look at it, and move on. Whats so hard about that? If you dont like it, dont look. And if you take everything on Mingle to heart, than your really setting yourself up for a fall. Mingle is just a bunch of opinions, and they are all different. Its like I dont watch T.V. WHy? Because I dont like its content anymore. I dont like it, so I dont look! Geez! And if I were homophobic(WHICH I AM NOT!!!AND YES, I UNDERSTAND THAT GOES AGAINST CHRISTIANITY, BUT IM STILL A BABY CHRISTIAN, AND STILL CHECKING IT OUT.)and I saw 2 guys kissing, and it bothered me, I would just look the other direction, and certainly not judge them for it! THis is ridiculous! |

Fine, than once he started reading, and was offended, why didnt he just stop reading, and move on. Why say that your hurt by it, just because you dont agree? Im not hurt by Satan worshipers, I just dont read what they write, listen to what they say, but im not judging them. They have the right to worship whatever they want to, and its really non of my buisness anyways. |
