For a community to thrive, they need to reproduce, but not only that. They need to thrive, which means they need to continue to live, be healthy and reproduce.

You can do a lot of good, and produce a lot of crops, build a lot of communities and buildings... and live like kings ... but if you don't have any children your community will all die in one generation.

Cowboy, everyone is trying to tell you something but you don't want to listen and learn you continue to just want to defend your position and your personal beliefs. Oh well.... we tried.ohwell

So by what you say, it is ok to go whoring around, you're only fulfilling God's wishes to "be fruitful".

There you go again re-writing and misrepresenting my words. "Whoring around" is selling sex and is normally associated with women.

What I am saying is that everyone is trying to tell you that "be fruitful and multiply" means to reproduce. That means to increase in number. That means to have children. Whores don't usually have a bunch of children.

If you interpret the Bible the way you interpret what other people say, you are never going to be believed in anything you say.

Whoring around doesn't have anything to do with money. A whore is someone whom has sex with multiple people. And by your interpretation of being "fruitful" it would be the same as whoring around and or in simpler terms, sleeping with many people. Sex is purely for marriage.

Sex is a tool of reproduction...

Marriage is a tool of man.

Not a pope, I'm nothing special. And no I'm not spreading my own person interpretation, I have many of times even asked people to discuss if they interpret verses differently. They tend not to when I include the surrounding verses to put it into context. They just leave it at that. If they truly thought I misinterpreted it they should have continued to discuss, cause I may very well have.

No, people who stop discussing things with you do so because they realize it is a big waste of time. It is not because they agree with you. Or maybe they just don't want to argue or burst the bubble you seem to be living in.

It's not a waste of time. I truly do listen. When one says something that holds ground and in this case is backed by the scriptures. If someone does truly know I am in the wrong and have verses to prove it, I would LOVE for them to do it. I don't want to be living in the wrong and or be spreading the gospel incorrectly.

Being fruitful and multiplying is about having and raising children.

That is the meaning of that.

How is it a tool of man? How does marriage give "man" any more power over the woman? What would "man" gain from just marry a woman? Marriage is sacred, marriage is the joining of two people to be with one another for ever. Unless you can please explain more on how it's a tool of man please?

So you don't actually allow yourself to have an actual opinion unless you can back it up with scripture.

You are a good slave. You have no will of your own. You have sold your soul.

No, if one believes something just because and without any form of evidence whatsoever, that's called a fairy tell and or wishful thinking.

I am not a slave, I do have my own will, and I've not sold my soul.

I live in the real world. I have been married twice.

Marriage gives a man power over a woman and in today's world, it also gives a woman power over a man. It is a contract with THE STATE. It is not sacred in that you don't have to be married in a Church, you can be married in a court room and you can be married even if you are both atheists. It is a contract having to do with property and obligation. It is a partnership giving each person certain rights.

Sorry. I am an individual and will always remain an individual. I don't want to be attached at the hip or any other place with another person as "one."

Nor do I wish to be consumed.

I want to be allowed to be who I am, not become part of another person. Been there, done that, hated it.

I am who I am. I don't need to become one with anyone else. Good luck with that if that is your plan. I hope you are not disappointed when you find it does not work that way. If that is how you view marriage you might be disappointed.

Animals have instincts naturally to reproduce.

so do Man...now you understand the command "Fruitful"

No that just shows where your mind goes with "fruitful". Fruitful means productive, means getting things one needs to do done. Means not being lazy. Again, being fruitful in the sense you're using it, being fertile, that is not a choice. Each person does not choose to be fertile or not.

Cowboy ...you can't multiply unless you're fruitful.....simply logic

you are a produce of your parents being "frutiful" ...

please say I'm wrong and that you believe that a stork brought you to your parents by dropping you down their chimney

Of course this is 'fruitfull'...

However that portion of 'fruitfull' is but a fleeting thing... If it produces a human child then many other types of 'fruitfull' must be applied by the parents to RAISE that child into an adult human...

as it takes a community to raise our children.

Fruitfull becomes not that of an individual but that of the community...

and civilization itself becomes 'fruitfull'...

Sex is but a very small part of that 'fruitfull' as it is used in Genesis...

AdventureBegins....God said to be "Fruitful and Multiply" not only to Man but to the animals

animals most likely would not be about to conceived what you mention in your post about how it takes a community to raise their children

this is why if the term "Fruitful" do not apply to both animals and Man...then the term is not being used in the same context when God first used it

Yes I already understood the command "fruitful" I'm very fruitful through my days, I don't waste my life. I learned not to, almost lost it in a car wrech and have dedicated my life to spreading the word of God to the world. I don't waste any time of my life, you don't know how much you truly have.

Cowboy...if your parents were "fruitful" like you are describing....you wouldn't have been born

There's a time and place for everything. Not saying that we aren't suppose to reproduce. And them being fruitful had nothing to do with me being born, them being fruitful allowed life to be good. We had a roof over our head, food in our stomach, ect. See that's being fruitful, supplying your family with their needs and taking care of them.

Animals don't waste their time/life either. They spend their days finding shelter, food, water, ect and take care of their own. They are fruitful, they don't act vainly, they act with purpose.

No I'm just discussing. Preaching is done to those whom wish to listen, a discussion is to those whom disagree and or have different views.

This is true, because if it is preaching when someone is here to spread their side of the belief, it is also preaching when someone else is here to spread their side of the belief eg., none belief.

Preaching goes both way, not just from the one that believes in the spiritual discussion at hand.
