Islam, oh yes. There is one religion I revile more than Christianity. Why? They demand under threat of violence in most cases we are culturally sensitive towards them but they don't have to share that tolerance with us. Australia is testing the fence with their new law, show your face when asked by police or go to jail. In France Burkas are banned. In many nations Islam is gaining prevalence they are becoming more violent, attacking Christians openly, and imposing Sharia Law over the law of the land. These are things Christians DON'T do.

So why should we put up with them? Cultural sensitivity? Shoe the left shoe match the right one? Where is Islam's tolerance for us? It sure is not in their Quaran!

I agree that people should have to show their face to police. As far as what people wear, I Am glad to live somewhere which doesnt police our wardrobes. I think the laws on murder and assault should apply to all regardless of religious affiliation and so there really doesnt seem to be an issue in america with 'tolerating' someone elses beliefs (Which only they truly know anyway) , so long as those beliefs dont lead to ACTION which breaks the law.

we have to presume how each person will ABSOLUTELY interpret a book to conclude that the BOOK will make the person perform such things,,, and we cannot presume any such absolute knowledge ESPECIALLY when a majority of the followers do NOT do such things

That is such false equivocation! First of all a gun is made to kill like a arrow or spear. A screwdriver is made to drive screws BUT I can also use it to kill. Unlike a gun a screwdriver is not purpose made to make living things die like an arrow or spear. I can still pervert a screwdriver's intended use like the bible HAS BEEN in the past and to some extent now but these days thanks to education and free thinking Christians learned not to equate war to God's will. A few and i men a rare few manage to somehow in their hearts personally justify holy war when their own church does not sanction it! What do you think was the motivation for murder when Christians were planting bombs at abortion clinics? They took the holy mantle of God ad Girded their Loins and SLEW THE WICKED! The fact is that survival instinct would more than likely make any Islamic go Judas on your azz. Actually Judas was ordered by his own friend to turn him in so that don't count. But again a Quaran instructs people to go to holy war, wage it on all fronts, infiltrate, infest, and invade, then kill all infidels and punish the few that you want to keep around and tax them.

A gun manual also has direct instructions to never point it at anyone. So again the two DO NOT COMPARE!

I don't buy the whole, "Its all metaphor and parable" line. It is too clear about what and how to do what they need to to take over. The bible is not parable and fable's only either. it likewise is a history of Judea and then Jesus as well as parables and fables. Jesus was at war with evil. Not his fellow man. One thing I managed to discern from what I have read in the bible is that Jesus too recognized that the evil we face is part of us and is part of our nature. This is much more than us just being sinful creatures. Jesus's words are so mistranslated that I think I got the jist of what he was trying to tell us. We need to find peace with our own evil nature. We need to recognize it is part of us and has its place.

Now for all you Christians out there I bet you will love hearing this from a Heretic Pagan like me, "Look into the mirror because the reflection you see looking back at you IS the devil him/ herself!" the idea is not to fight with it but to manage it. Give it purpose. make peace with it and peace will come to you in ways you never expected. When evil is fueled by conflict why give it what it wants?
