"Mija" is made up of two words, "Mi" and "Hija" and is an affectionate term for "daughter". "Chica" means "small" and is usually used for "little girl".
Here are mine in high school: "Munchkin" (from the guys) "Knockers" (from the girls) "Virgin Mary" (from the really mean girls) "Sweetheart" (from the really nice guys) As an adult "Joy" "T2" "Sweetheart" (still) "Mamacita" ("little mother") "Oh, THAT stuck up b*tch..." I call it "gifted".
I had no idea what it meant until one of my older brothers explained it to me. I was from one of those little Mayberry -type towns and I didn't smoke or drink or sleep around. We moved to the inner city when I was a teenager and the girls were pretty "experienced". The guys protected me because they liked my innocence so most of the girls hated me ... except for other "outcasts" like me. I was a pariah. I really needed protecting; even back then we had cops patrolling the corridors. The guys pretty much kept me from getting my *ss kicked all through high school. I was 4'10, weighed 94 lbs. and was a DD. Ahhhh ... the glory days of youth.

I always felt a little screwed on the nickname front as I was born with a very obvious and I suppose coveted nickname! So other nicknames seemed useless to others.
But one of our road crews started calling me "The Professor", which I kinda liked and lasted a while. Although some would use it sarcastically! :) But like the topic sez, I've been called worse - but not usually to my face. FantasyArtMan |
