So there he stood at the edge of forever, boldly facing the vast new world that lay before him. A mysterious world, beautiful in its exotic allure and majestic in its quiet grandeur. The gentle hills and valleys sang with the faintly familiar spirit of freedom echoing through the velvet haze. Towering lavender clouds billowed across the glowing rose of the distant horizon, while azure peaks of stoic mountains tore across the soft crimson sky like love letters in flames. He slowly turned to face the gentle breeze of change embracing his lost soul, like a mother cuddling her newborn life. And as he peered across the open sea of the great beckoning unknown, he longed for a whisper of a hand in finding the elusive path of his true destiny. And so the journey begins, again... INTRODUCTION: I'm a professional illustrator, and a former pro-musician turned composer who loves to write and record new music. I enjoy comedy, documentaries, science and travel programs, museums, old and offbeat movies, music, film and video production, snooping through curio shops and yard sales, sci-fi and fantasy books, movies and ideas. I love being a dad to my 18 year old son! I'm young at heart, easy-going, fun-loving, faithful, honorable and decent. THE SETTING: I am not any form of your typical cowboy, sports-addict, or stuffed shirt. I tend to see life a little differently from most, but in a fun, artsy way! I enjoy walking, weight training in my home gym, frisbee and football in the backyard or park, and exploring and applying health and nutrition concepts in my life. I hold belts in several martial arts, and occasionally play xbox on rainy days! THE MUSIC: I have a true love for rock music in all its forms, especially progressive rock. I also enjoy; fusion, new age and light jazz, new wave, some classical and orchestral music, some electronic music, and have a fondness for 80s pop/rock/metal - this important in my life, as these are also the styles I compose and record. Therefore, somewhat similar musical tastes would be highly preferred. THE BIG PICTURE: My politics lean to the left, and my spirituality leans to the east. I've had a very rich, eventful and successful life, and I really hope for the same in a partner. My youthful outlook on life means I still have much of the same fire in my soul and curiosity about life as I had in my early adulthood - and so my passion for rock music, laser shows, frisbee, paintball, flying kites, enjoying art in the clouds, and exploring life in all its wonder. THE PLOT THICKENS: I also enjoy more sophisticated fun, like candlelit dinners, stepping out with royalty, exploring museums, swinging the town, live music, comedy clubs, backyard grills, video parties, pondering the stars, and losing myself in your eyes. I have matured nicely, but evidently I haven't grown old in quite the same way as many others I see my age. No better or worse, but definitely different. THE STORY SO FAR: I'm just coming out of a 35 year marriage - we're still good friends, but she met another. So, I'm a little shy on the dating front! I'm looking for a friend I can relate to on a deeper level, and share some laughs and good times. Someone who sees life a bit outside-the-box, as I do. And if a more serious relationship can develop from this friendship - I would love that too! WHAT I SEEK IN A PARTNER: I'm hoping to find a warm, caring partner with a truly youthful and fun-loving spirit, someone with a more rock and jazz edge to them, and less country and easy listening, with an addiction to laughter, quiet intelligence, a down to earth futurist, well-read with a possible fondness for sci-fi and fantasy, an appreciation for trivia and a general thirst for knowledge, a belief that not all walls need to be painted off-white, strong m values, with an open-minded outlook, honorable, faithful, compassionate, with integrity, and optimism - these are a few points I just can't imagine not sharing with a partner.
