First of all you stated this thread is not about God, well i must have been reading something different to you cos what i can see its about my Gods universe,and judgement day,is there only you who can have a say.

We would know more about the Mayan culture and calendar if Christians had not destroyed all of their books (tablets) in 1510.

Seems like even today Christians are still threatened and jealous of people reading other books.

"Read the Bible" is their constantly repeated command.

And yet the Gospel of Thomas (a disciple of Jesus) was left out of the Bible because it had things in there that 'they' did not want people to know.

So EXCUSE ME for reading other books in addition to the Bible.

Very true. All in all, what is there to fear? God loves us, God provides for us, God is great to us. The only thing to fear is your own actions, YOUR choices. God is pure and righteous. If YOU do as we are suppose to, again what is there to fear?

Therefore they have no choice in the matter. It's either, join the Christian bigotry wagon, or be cast into hell as an unworthy sinner who refuses to "repent".

That right there should prove to anyone that the Bible is a lie.
Because a belief in the Bible has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with any willingness to "repent".

So the authors of the bible have revealed themselves to be liars.

So yes, I've read the Bible. I've recognize that it's riddled with lies, religious bigotries, and utter absurdities. And I've moved on to far better pictures of spirituality and philosophies that actually reflect a concept of a truly righteous God.

There is nothing righteous about the God that the ancient Hebrews invented. He was just a take-off from Zeus complete with a lust for blood sacrifices and all. The Bible preaches religious bigotry and hatred toward all who fail to worship IT.

To worship the Bible is to worship the lies of men.

That's exactly the point, it's saying.......oh you have nothing to fear, UNLESS you do this this this or this.

People in general don't always agree on what "the right thing" is.
They don't automatically know what you mean by "If YOU do as we are suppose to...." etc. there is nothing to fear.

Okay If I kidnapped you, and told you that you had nothing to fear as long as you did what you were supposed to do, you would wonder what you were supposed to do.... according to me, so that you would not be hurt or killed. Right? That is why it sounds like a threat.

Now as long as you answer what you are supposed to answer, you have nothing to fear.

This, there's a reason I refer to this anymore as spiritual rape, because that's pretty much what it is. There is no difference between "do as I say or die and be burned forever" and......."love me or I cut your balls off"

Scriptures are pretty much designed to be deceiving and written in parables. MOST and I say MOST people... don't understand them at all.

They are largely misinterpreted. Either taken too lightly or too seriously .... and the wrong way.

The Bible is just a book. It probably has many secrets. But it is not the only enlightening book to be found. People have been inspired to write books far greater than the Bible since then.

The Bible is not the end all to spiritual knowledge, and most people can't interpret it correctly anyway.

I'm not saying that I can either, I'm saying that MOST people just can't.
