I did years single by choice. I had settled for less so often that when I made that leap of (relative) abstainence...I just really turned my back on the concept of really loving. Thankfully, I do believe in hope. No, I ain't single....and it is because I had the guts to just let go of my past and put some faith in a woman who was willing to take the chance with me. Ain't no such thing as perfect.... Ideals are just that....Ideals. Alot of people here will remain single of thier own volition....by clinging to non reality based standards based on "Ideals". When people just get the guts to just throw themselves out there...and work for what they want....and chose to be happy with what life offers....and finding the true beauty in those that offer what they have.... Then, there will be far fewer single people. But, that ain't gonna happen cause most people ain't got the guts to take a chance. I agree - nicely said and good luck to you both

because I don't know what I want to do I want my professional life back to normal before taking on a big life change like that not sure where I want to live....not sure if I want to be a wife, or have a wife afraid to say what I want and it impedes communication but it's not for the lack of wanting.... I'm sweet, yes, as my name says but I am not really that flexible so sometimes it's hard for me to translate the idea of a thing into real life a best friend who wants the same things I do is the closest I can define it. Thats my problem... I cant find a lover... who is also my best friend. And I want that too. a good way to say things I guess I have always let my guy make decisions for me tho in the past and I am making my own now. I'm not used to it and it's taking me some time but I am definitely a lover - I see no reason to do anything else when the time is right
