the sunsets out in West Texas. That's purdy. I was taking a break. I'll have to stay up all night again to finish my work. I guess I'll take some Viagra. I heard it helps you stay up. |

the sunsets out in West Texas. Mighty purdy! yep. The sunrises are pretty nice here! |

You know, I've lived pretty much all over Texas at some point or another..and the prettiest sunrises and sunsets are in Pecos. It's far enough away from everything that nothing interferes with the sunrises, so you get the full effect of the open sky. The mountains are far enough away that you get the full effect of the setting sun radiating off of them into the open sky. Beautiful.

Judge Roy Bean. Law West of the Pecos thought so too. That's why he hung everybody at noon, so he wouldn't miss the sunset.

He was a smart man. He was more colorful than the sunset. He was an honorable man and never stopped loving Lilly. He just had this 'thing' about hanging people |

He had a picture of her in his saloon and a drunk accidentally shot it. The story goes that Judge Roy Bean shot the man 6 times and then took him out and hung him. |

He wrote her hundreds of letters inviting her to perform in his saloon. |

When she finally came through on her way to Phoenix, he was dead. |

She was born in the UK on an island called Jersey. That's how she got the name Jersey Lillie. Everyone thinks she was from New Jersey but not true.
