My brother ,and I both love to cook. (My brother, makes to best PIZZA in this world.) ....and I have tried pizza all over the world. Guess my favorite is , STEAK and all the fixens. I have eaten steak about every place also. (Texas, makes some mighty good steak.) The question is: If you love to cook; what is your favorite food to cook for yourself, and your family or friends?? ----My Uncle says: Everyone eats out now-a-days! Ask them,"What is the place they eat out at, when they are real hungry?"----

I cook for anyone that comes through my front door.
I cook a lot of Middle Eastern. Kinda spent time there. I work for a restaurant. Unfortunately, not for much longer. The dicing and chopping gave my carpal tunnel and I am having to move back to Israel for the surgery to repair my hands so I can have at least some function. |

I LOVE to cook.
I adore making people happy through their palates :-) It is rewarding on so many levels. Mexican food is my favorite to prepare, gratis of an old roommate who was Mexican. Refried beans with lime, cheese, onions and bacon drippings....... |

I like cooking, but I love presenting the food more. Like having to decorate the big plates and making art work of what has been cooked. Haha.

I love to cook and bake.
Friday night is Sabbath dinner and I always make fresh honey Challah (egg bread that is braided), some kind of clear, homemade soup (last week it was garden vegetable), a main course (Chicken Alfredo with homemade noodles, asparagus with lemon) and a Boston Cream pie for dessert. I love all kinds of ethnic foods and can cook Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese dishes, Indian food (especially daal, chipatis and aloo gobi), Mexican (like tortilla or squash blossom soup). But my favorite is Swedish. I lived in Sweden for 10 years and learned a lot of wonderful dishes (there's more to it than just meatballs!). A braid of my special Challah. |

Heh cool! Great topic... Here goes, My favorite thing to make for my family is green chilie. I am a professional cook and i have made it since i was 20 they love it and my motto is ["If their stomach(tummy) is happy, they are going to be happy; or asleep, soon =)] My favorite thing to eat is honestly, if im going out a great burger on a grill not a flat top, and on my deathbed... hands down my moms brisket. I have tried to make it. she had coached me and it will never be the same.

I like cooking, but I love presenting the food more. Like having to decorate the big plates and making art work of what has been cooked. Haha. I'm like this too... I like cooking *special* dishes, but don't want anyone to mess up the presentation of them My favorite is slowly cooked roast beef with all the fixin's, a fancy salad with red and green peppers, celery, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and boiled eggs surrounding a bed of grated cheese. geez... gotta stop... making myself hungry |
