No one is burning people now. No one has burned people for a very long time. There will always be 'powers that be'. they will not always be right, but they will also not always be wrong.
Believers see evidence of God all around them every day. |

Yeah that's one way to spin it. Sure there's nothing more believable than a god in the flesh. As gullible as humans are the powers that be saw to it that people believe it or they burn them as heretics. you do understand that before the scriptures were ever put onto paper concerning Yeshua that the ancient Greeks wrote about Him. they were specific towards Him being a Jew. they called Him the "Miracle Man." one writer [ancient historian Thaddeus] even wrote while he was at Greece during the day of Yeshua's crucifixion [rumor spread all over Mesopotamia is what i believe], the skies grew dark for no apparent reason and sudden earthquakes violently occurred. this is what the Gospels wrote concerning the crucifixion. another Greek writer Lucian wrote that Yeshua instructed His followers to deny the gods of Greece. and wrote of the rumor of His death, burial, and resurrection. and the main reason i mention the Greeks and their writings is because people believe this is a made up story by the Romans. BUT.....the Greeks and Romans were enemies. so no way would the Greeks make this up for the sake of the Romans. Yeshua is the real deal whether you accept it or not. and He is Yahweh, the God of Enoch, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and the one who walked in the Garden with Adam and Eve!! |

People who state this are trying to attach this to all christian believers in the present age in an attempt to undermine any discussion they participate in. Roman Catholicism (in it's true form) does not teach nor practice the new testament. During the dark ages (500ad - 1500ad) the Roman Catholic leadership prohibited the distribution and reading of scripture. May I suggest that instead of labeling all people with the same stamp you look at individuals. |

I dont' think that's necessarily true, Dave. When I state that about the burning people at the state and so on, I am very clear that I mean the Catholic church did it. And they would do it again if they could, imo. They have not changed their superior, imperious attitude one bit, it's just laying there dormant, waiting, waiting, waiting. Roman Catholicism (in it's true form) does not teach nor practice the new testament.
Agreed, Dave, but they insist that they do anyway. During the dark ages (500ad - 1500ad) the Roman Catholic leadership prohibited the distribution and reading of scripture. May I suggest that instead of labeling all people with the same stamp you look at individuals.
Maybe he just meant the Catholics, Dave. That's what I mean when I talk about it. The Catholics: Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. |

It is possible that the word 'rib' in the creation myth of the God of Adam is a mistranslation. It is possible to translate that also into 'womb'... That being said... Which is really the woman. Adam or Eve? for that would mean that Eve came from the womb of Adam. 1. The Hebrew term states Adams rib. 2. "The creation myth" I can write for hours on this subject but I'll only respond with one question that pulls the support from under the theory of evolution: please quote what university or private lab has created life from non-life? All of the evolution arguments fall on their face with this question. |

Translation = From his ribs
Hebrew = מִצַּלְעֹתָ֔יו |
