We've all seen shows where someone is forced to fire a friend, family, or partner. Has anyone really been in this type of situation? If so, what did you do? If you were in this situation, what would you do?

I had to fire my cousin. Coming in late for work everyday is unaceptable. He did it to himself. I did'nt want to fire him, but if I didn't fire him, I would have been fired.

Humm have never been fired before but..........starting the middle of May I'm going to go to work for my brother in his office. Believe me he has no problem firing family.
 There have been other family members that have worked for him in the past when it comes to business he is all business regardless who you are......

Just got word yesterday that they are cutting bussing for next year
 . Schools are in bad shape here in Michigan.

Mostly comedies I guess, you'll see something and there will be an episode where they have a friend or family working with them, and they're doing a bad job or something, and they have to fire them. |

Heck they are cutting Teachers left and right lately don't make sense to me for we all still pay the school taxes regardless of the economy....

Good luck to you too, tx Thank you totage after over a year and a half on unemployment and not being able to find a job. Then having to go back to waiting tables to make ends meet this will be a welcoming job. I got lucky his secretary that has been there a while turned in her notice she is moving so they offered me the job.

I have never been fired but I have been put in a position where I quit, not a good feeling. Seems my liar of a store manager only wanted behind kissers working for her and I don't kiss that part of a boss.
Well maybe once a long time ago but he was sooo cute! Sorry I guess that is a topic for another forum! I have never worked with family on a paying job but I did evict my sister once, very difficult situation. |
