Family of dead Mexican migrant sues US government
Thu Mar 17
SAN DIEGO – A wrongful death lawsuit against the federal government charges that a Mexican man was beaten by immigration agents before one of them fired a stun gun several times as he lie on the ground.
The family of Anastacio Hernandez argues in its suit that agents used excessive force at a San Diego border crossing on May 28, killing the 42-year-old construction worker.

This story has that liberal smell to it. They go into great detail about all the events that led up to the poor guys death.

At the end of the report you read, he was an Illegal who had been deported and died resisting arrest when agents picked him up attempting to reenter Illegally.

Sorry the dude is dead. He could have avoided it had he made better life choices.

The officers involved, if found guilty of excessive force, will suffer for their actions.

More of them should get shot with stun guns. Those cocky sobs. They are ALL criminals, it's illegal to be illegal.

I caught one stealing from one of my stores last week. Loaded up his jacket with over $150 in aftershave THEN took a swing at my partner. mad

Needless to say he got dropped HARD. When the cops got there we found out he was illegal and has been stealing from a variety of stores to resell the products because he couldn't get a job because he didn't have any identification because he was ILLEGAL. SO he got charged with Burglary and Strong-Arm Robbery and will be deported after he faces the charges and serves his sentance in court.

Then he will be back!
Exactly what I was thinking and then some poor border cop will be charged for using excessive forcefrustrated

well hopefully it will get thrown out of court. (The suit against the border patrol - they have it hard enough) when I read about things like this regarding mexican, haitian and muslim immigrants particularly, it makes me sympathize with the decent law abiding people from those countries that have made good choices and seek refuge here legally. Because, they tend to get lumped in all together when issues flare up.

Despite our grumblings we are a truly big hearted nation where millions have sought refuge from poverty and oppression for literally decades including, most likely, your parents parents, and mine.

this story and LPs story gotta make ya wonder, why illegal? What is in their backgrounds that makes them choose to skip the immigration LEGAL process....scary thought.

I dont wonder why at all. Desperation answers most questions. the LEGAL process is long and trying and when one's family is in need NOW, the idea of waiting for that process to complete can be taunting. There are also, Im sure those who know their criminal background will keep them out and also those who know they dont have the money to come in(despite past notions of giving us their poor and yearning to be free, we really DONT accept poor people, unless they are 'sponsored' by an employer for some exceptional skill or by some personal friend or acquaintance who isnt 'poor')

As stated, desperation.

Other reasons;
Won't pass background check = criminal
No pass medical exam
Won't be told they can't.
A big one. There a belief that much of the US belongs to Mexico.
(Atzlan Movemiento, Azteca, La Raza, MECha and other Mexican terror organizations.)

It has to be a misprint. You can't fire a Stun Gun, you ca hit someone with it. Plus Stun Guns you get hit with volts and Tasers have the Amps behind it, so Tasers would be the only one that could kill. I have never heard of someone getting killed by a Stun Gun and don't know of ANY Law Enforcement that carries them, they carry Tasers.

I am no expert on those devices but I am pretty sure they are both high voltage/low amperage devices that aren't really different except one has two prongs and the other sends the juice along some wire probes.

Small batteries aren't capable of putting out many amps. And if they did, they would kill quickly.

My stun gun is 1.8 million volts, no amps. My Taser is 50'000 volts and a lot of amps lol. It doesn't use standard batteries. The ones that use small batteries are only good for one or two shots.

Sorry your stun gun has amps. V=I*R. For there to be volts there must be current

That is correct. Voltage is not the killer but amps are. High voltage and high amps would be impossible with batteries of any possible size in a hand held weapon. Both mentioned weapons are both high voltage/ low amp devices.

It only takes 10 to 100 milliamps to stop a human heart. However, the human body can withstand millions of volts with no damage other than a temporary disruption of the nervous system.

The article must be wrong, i've never read anywhere where someone has died from a stun gun, a Taser yes(Only if misued-Constantly fired- or is a heart condition).

I already knew that. Ha Ha. I was directing my comment to the thread, not to you, but I guess the quote confused that. My point was that there really isn't beans different between a tazer and a stun gun, other than method of delivery. Neither are supposed to have enough amps to kill.
