I see many graduate student women concerned about finding a mate before finishing their degrees! Many believe having a master's or doctorate makes it more difficult to date. I have never really sat and pondered this...so, what are your opinions? my first thoughts are that this would attract more serious men rather than the players, but what the heck do I really know? LOL only if you promise to take me for a ride on that nice big tractor you got

YES!!! They are intimidated by any woman who knows more, is smarter than them, is more independant and hell hath no fury than if she makes more money than he does- Men don't like to be "one up'd" by a woman, for whatever reason they don't feel like men- then they leave you for some skank who has no job, no life who is hooked on meth with no teeth- Go figure!

YES!!! They are intimidated by any woman who knows more, is smarter than them, is more independant and hell hath no fury than if she makes more money than he does- Men don't like to be "one up'd" by a woman, for whatever reason they don't feel like men- then they leave you for some skank who has no job, no life who is hooked on meth with no teeth- Go figure! I have never understood what was so attractive about the bar skanks, besides alcohol, but I have seen men 'eff it up with really nice girls over them! There are plenty out there that can handle the smart ones...somewhere  There are a few here willing to take on a challenge so stick around!

hey! jus passin thru, n had 2 comment i think that not only r men intimidated i think they are terrified by wel educated women, coz most wen they rise above th men financialy n al, thy tend 2 bkam arogant n luk dwn on their men-ive xperienced it.

Finding a mate... implies having kids raising a family. I suspect you're right about that. Although I genuinely hope there's someone out there who doesn't consider it mandatory.

I am very independent and have realized that I can not make a relationship work with a man that is not independent! I like intelligent men that can challenge my thoughts and carry good conversations as well! This is the reason I just gave up on the dating. Would rather be single the rest of life than to play dumb and dependent. |

Educated lady in my book would be a blessing. Iwas fortuate to go to school . I realize the value of a good education . To me thats isn't any threat at all it would be a great blessing .

..personally i'm not intimidated by anyone and why anyone would be intimidated by an educated woman might not be the education they are intimidated by,but how the woman uses it..

You keep saying the right things. Take me, for instance. (Please!) I don`t accept just anyone. I am rather picky, choosy, and sometimes cheesy even. But I believe you have to be very careful in this age of free marriages, overpriced real estate and the service industries going kaputt!! Belly up. I survived so far, but if I don`t learn to be more accepting pretty soon, I will die I guess from an unintentional overdose of celibacy. I wish people would be more accepting, too. |
