I hope you anchored the hot air balloon securely. :)
I love the wind and lightning too. They are wonderful to behold, even if they make you painfully aware of your minuscule mortality. Good luck to you and I hope you will all be safe. |

Wow, that sounds pretty crazy.
I live in the north west of the united states, and we get TONS of rain. In the summer, though, we have thunder storms, which I love. Sometimes wind storms, those though, are usually around the spring. But I wish you the best of luck, as I don't know if I'd be able to handle all that. |

I live in hurricane central where Ike cleaned our clock. Take care, leave if you need to, button up tight, and good luck. A single piece of flying debris is very dangerous.

LOL you can't leave here, there is no where to go, the kiddies are happy as school is cancelled.

Haha! When I was a kid, I didn't care why school got cancelled. Only that it did.

LOL you can't leave here, there is no where to go, the kiddies are happy as school is cancelled. It was sad when people left here for the last three storms and had no place to go. The roads shut down and some spent the whole storm in their car! Not very good planning. I just road it out. I meant leave to miss the eye of the storm if 1. You can and have someplace not in the eye which is safer. 2. You can safely get there. 3. You don't have to travel in the storm to get there. 4. There is a realistic chance of serious flooding from the storm surge. (Storm surge killed more people than any other disaster in US history about twenty miles from here. The City of Galveston was wiped out.) I remember as a kid being happy when the storms hit and missing school. Then I sat and watched building being torn apart. Hope you and yours are safe! |

We are pretty safe, here, our building was built by the airforce and has withstood some pretty heavy cyclones,
We are set up so that we have enough supplies to help anyone who is here and the walls are over a foot thick . so the kiddies have games mattresses, and everything ready if we need to move into the middle of the place, And we have a few stories if we need to go higher. Everything is tied down, put away and ready to go. |

Still waiting waiting waiting, just a big storm so far. The kids have had a great time cleaning up all the trees that have fallen so far, it has calmed a little now and heading out to sea , so we will se what happens, when it hits the water, should hit tonight or in the morning if it comes our way, so far we have had 20 inches of rain in the last 48 hours

I think it was a Texas record. Is this storm going to cause the kind of flooding Australia had last month? |

I think a knight in shining armour would probably rust or sink up here. but the boat might work. We had a huge cyclone years ago, but I wasnt here for it, and the top of the motel went, but the bottom stayed put. So if worse comes to worse the bottom should stay where it is, and if we end up floating anywhere here, thats the end of us as the crocs will eat us for sure. Luv ya, behave yourself and be careful |

No we have some flooding but the water dissapears really quickly up here, since we are set up pretty well for the wet season, but so far in the last 40 days I think we have had around 56 inches, but thats climbing now, it will just depend if the storm turns into a cyclone or passes us by, We have flood and wind warnings at the moment. |
