Well, here's the problem --
8 people have posted on this thread 3 of them only posted once 1 posted twice That means 4 of us have been carrying almost the entire load, and one of the 4 (Nus) is from Wisconsin! I mean, sure, it would be nice if some others joined in, but I doubt if that's going to happen in our lifetimes.... |

The thing here Lex, is to try and attract a crowd! I love Chicago! When I was a kid my father took my twin brother and I to cubbies games all the time! Byepassing the Brewers on the way, mind you...
Consider me an adopted son or a cheerleader from Wisconsin! |

Nus, if we had more like you here, we would not be having these problems.
You have always been one of my favorites here, I am very glad to have you as a friend, and you have consistently been positive and supportive your entire time here. I have never seen you write a negative or harsh word to anyone, not even when they deserved it, and when others with less self-restraint (OK, I've been guilty of this once or twice!) would have jumped in headfirst! I truly appreciate your support in this matter. And I agree with you about attracting a crowd. I'm just not at all sure how to do that, when the people who SHOULD be paying the MOST attention, are the ones who never speak up at all.... |
|

Thank you for that Lex! The feeling is quite mutual. Reading your posts and responses when I first joined went a long way in how I developed a cyber persona for this strange medium.
As for attracting a crowd...we could hire strippers but that isn't quite the feeling Chicago has for some. Besides-I'm all out of singles.... |

It doesn't matter how many people post or how often... so ad long as the board's life continues onward.

Okay then...today is the ninth of July and since nobody in Chicago gets up before the sunrise, I will put the first post of the day!
It will be my only post as I go out of town for work on Mondays and have no internet access. Let's see a dozen pages by tomorrow afternoon...there's enough creativity floating around here to get some writing done, don't you think? |

Yeah for Monday! Oh Wait, I hate mondays. It means I have to go back to work.
Well everyone, my fake date was really nice... but really it was just like hanging out with my friend. He's a blast! So, do any of you ever attend the singles events they have? There's one in Batavia on the 28th or something... I just wondered if anyone has been in the past and can fill me in on what they are like. Thanks everyone. Oh, and Good Morning. |

Glad you had fun on your "date". As far assingles events I've never been to one although I've thought about it.

APPLES & WINE... (I thoguht this was funny... sorry, gentlemen) Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy. The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree. Share this with other women who are good apples, even those who have already been picked! Now Men.... Men are like a fine wine. They begin as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the **** out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with. |
