And I have bought underwear for men; if you can find "undies" for $5, even at Walmart, I bow to you. I am mistaken, 4 pack for 8$ |

You have interest in the main thing guys are (straight guys anyway) supposed to have interest in. US!!!! That's true, but it doesn't really seem to be going anywhere. My late husband was into hunting and football, not the rest...still I don't miss those two things being a huge part of my life. I just don't have any desire to kill anything that isn't related to my ex-in-laws, so hunting doesn't appeal to me. And I've just never had any interest in football, primarily because the scoring system makes no sense and they don't play enough games during the course of a season to establish a valid statistical hierarchy. Thanks for letting me down gently, always the gentleman and always appreciated! Well, I'm a nice guy. Or something. |

I especially hate shopping with girls, I think in general guys hate shopping cuz most malls are not geared for men. If I could find a mall that had my levi's 501's and a small array of good solid work shirts in two different colors, and they served me in a drive by counter, I could get most of my clothes shopping done in about 3 minutes. I don't want or need to spend six hours trying on under wear and a buddy with me to ask if they make me look sexy!! When my undies are full of holes, I know I am due for another six pack of fruit of the loom at my local Wal Mart, in and out. Mission accomplished and good for another six years with me undies and only cost me 5$. Now that is smart shopping and sound investment logic. Whats your take? Ladies, please chime in and inform me why we are not on the same page as you when it comes to this shopping phenomenon. When I go shopping I go by myself or with another girl. I never shop with a man for clothes. The only time I shop with a man is if we are going to a Hardware store. I find we can spend a lot of time there looking at power tools. |

Not that I'm trying to be contrary or anything, but I love shopping, and I can do it for hours. Particularly a place like Borders, or a sporting goods store with a good selection of hockey equipment. But I could probably do a couple of hours in any decent Wal-Mart without suffering any adverse effects, as long as I don't stare directly at the customers. As for the mall, it's really the ONLY place around here where I have any chance of seeing anyone even remotely appealing. That right there (and the old Ms. Pac-Man in the game room) makes for a worthwhile trip. I never thought of you as a shopper Lex. Hanging around Hot Topix might find you a nice goth girl. I personally detest shopping. I go to buy, never to look and get out as quick as I can. Shopping for clothes is the worst. When I was first married, we would fill 3 shopping carts full of food for the two of us. Go home, take the screen out of the window, hand the bags through and place in front of the pantry and be done with the majority of it for the next 3 months. People were always asking how many kids we had and we would say none. They always looked shocked. |

Love shopping, if it is for someone else.
Hate shopping for myself. I tap my foot, waiting to get away. |

Depends on the shopping.
We have Powell's Books in Portland, which is one of biggest(if not the biggest) books stores- I can spend hours in there. I also enjoy getting together with friends and scouring the collector's shops/pawn shops/flea markets/used music stores in search of rare horror VHS/lasers. |

If I am in a bookstore, I can spend hours in there.
If if is a clothing or food store, I usually know what I want, go in, buy it, and leave. |

for me its just one of those things that has to be done. make my list and get in an out. now if its shopping for hunting or trapping supplys or just looking at new guns then I could do that all day with no complants. |

I never thought of you as a shopper Lex. Hanging around Hot Topix might find you a nice goth girl. My last gf actually worked there for awhile. So I ended up buying some stuff there (I think I have a profile pic somewhere wearing one of the shirts), but mainly, if I go, I go to the book stores. |

Anybody ever been to Honest Ed's in Toronto? Was told to check it out once, literally had to run for the exit and even that was confusing, kept running into more stairs and corners and cheap asian goods. I felt assaulted when I got out of there. Someone should do the Torontonians a favor and torch that place to the ground, after hours of course.

I know the general impression (for good reason) is that women love to shop but in my case it was my late husband who loved it. Thanks to him I have nice things now. Like a Bose radio and a good tv. Sounds like your late husband knew about quality.. Bose will last a lifetime. He did know quality, he married me!! LOL He did like nice things, I have thought of him more than once today listening to my fav PBS radio shows. Thank goodness he also surprised me with a good used Toyota, still running! He spoiled me except for jewelry, he wasn't big on buying me jewelry which worked out fine since I inherited more than I care to wear. |

I love shopping, but I prefer doing it alone. My two favorite things to shop for are books and carpentry/power tools.

I love to shop. Garage sales are my favorite.

I also hate shopping!! Once my son & I went to the grocery store. He ran like a banchie (sp) pushing the cart through the store & I tossed items in. We made it in/out in 15 minutes with a full cart!! Now, that's my kind of shopping@!
**No one was hurt during this experiment** |

I detest shopping.
Groceries, clothes, any kind. OK, I will linger in a bookstore - but only in a certain mood or atmosphere. Well, OK, and plant stores/greenhouses - I can and do spend hours there in the spring/summer. |
