...nothing stops me from speaking the truth..it is what it is ..i am just a messenger, but as you see some people don't want to know it..all i can say to that is ..tuff shyt live with it.. |

what is your truth if you would speak it? Do we have a truth that is ours? What is mine? I think mine is that I was born to love and I live to love but I have learned to see life through the eyes of many stories |

Okay, here goes: Ghandi slept naked with naked young girls. Frequently. Ghandi refused to give his wife the antibiotics that would have saved her life, but when get got sick, he took antibiotics. Speaking of the Holocaust, Ghandi said "The Jews should have offered themselves to the butcher's knife. They should have thrown themselves into the sea from cliffs." I was practicing what Ghandi preached. I was telling truthful things about Ghandi. |

Speaking of the Holocaust, Ghandi said "The Jews should have offered themselves to the butcher's knife. They should have thrown themselves into the sea from cliffs." agreed. even if any of that is true, it is not in context - and hindu philosophy is very different than Christian...so the context is important as there are Christian leaders who have also advocated multiple partners and I don't really care. Ghandi was a political leader and his life must be seen in the context of his times in India, what he was trying to accomplish there & globally, his role as a global political figure as well as a holy man, and in the context of hindu and the morality of the time. I think it is destructive to judge another religion by the parameters used to define ur own. I am Christian but certainly realize that Christian people have done their share to be criticized for in their lifetimes - including me and once again - as with ghandi & hindu - it is important to look at Christianity through the words of Christ - not the actions of latter day priests & preachers |

I can clear & correct most of ur concepts & mistakes...the first & basic one is - that gr8 personality was named as Gandhi & not Ghandi. OK? |

An accurate description of reality. I think we will find flaws in all great men but as a Christian you are aware, I'm sure, what Christ said about judgments? Whose job is that? ours and Gods Gods to judge the soul though ours to judge actions and words (judge by their fruit, judge with righteous judgment,,,etc,,) |

but as a Christian you are aware, I'm sure, what Christ said about judgments? Whose job is that? Mine. I judge who I follow (Jesus) and I judge the words of preachers and other teachers to determine if those people deserve my attention. I don't condemn anyone, I'm a sinner and have no place doing that. But I certainly am going to be careful whose advice I take and therefore must use my best judgment. But I must say, I didn't comment on what Gandhi did, I just mentioned it. It's important to know the picture of the whole man, not just the parts that make for good cinema. The Bible describes the warts of the Israelites, their rules, Jesus' disciples...but Jesus didn't have any. I have a perfect hero, why would I choose one whose actions were less than perfect? |

thanks for accepting first mistake. Can u answer my few questions plz?I will ask next Q only if ur answer to first one is satisfactory. Q1.: How do u define a TRUTH? An accurate description of reality. Q2.: For us (the poor mortal human beings)...reality is just a belief. Am I right? No, reality is absolute. Our perception of reality is often skewed or completely wrong, but that doesn't mean that reality is not reality. |

thanks for accepting first mistake. Can u answer my few questions plz?I will ask next Q only if ur answer to first one is satisfactory. Q1.: How do u define a TRUTH? webster has many definitions which reflect the english usage of the word,,,the most interesting to me is this one b : a judgment, proposition, or idea that is true or accepted as true <truths of thermodynamics> the english language is such a complex one and so interesting, although many dont really take time to truly review it in all its contexts,,, this definition B of truth, stats that true can be something ACCEPTED as true this would almost imply that truth is not NECESSARILY actual fact or anything seen and experienced personally, so much as it is/can be trusted information passed down and ACCEPTED by enough people as accurate .....isnt that the bees knees,,,lol,,, gotta love the english language SORRY FOR THE TANGENT, English and all its complexities has always been one of my interests,,, |

An accurate description of reality. Q2.: For us (the poor mortal human beings)...reality is just a belief. Am I right? No, reality is absolute. Our perception of reality is often skewed or completely wrong, but that doesn't mean that reality is not reality. It means ...though u answered NO to my question,U r admitting that for us reality is just a belief & we-the human beings with insufficient senses arent able to judge it accurately. So tell me...how r u claiming your blames about Gandhiji is a truth?? Cant your perception of reality in this matter be completly wrong or skewed ?? |

So tell me...how r u claiming your blames about Gandhiji is a truth?? Cant your perception of reality in this matter be completly wrong or skewed ?? Yes, my perception could be wrong or skewed. But we each have to make judgments about what reality is. I have to weigh the evidence and accept the perception of reality that is best supported by the evidence. You must do the same. |

Q2.: For us (the poor mortal human beings)...reality is just a belief. Am I right? No, actually, you are wrong. This is one of the more poisonous lies promoted by otherwise intelligent people. |

.... [Gandhi] refused to give his wife the antibiotics that would have saved her life, but when get got sick, he took antibiotics. ..... Gandhi was mentioned in the OP, and has been a subject of many peoples comments in this thread, including my own. When you value truth, you are motivated to share things that you know in response to other people's evident mis-impressions. |
