i was at the beach today and observed some tourists from italy sitting on the beach enjoying the view of our 6ft waves, when another family came scoped out the area and then chose to sit right in their bubble, so close the woman standing had to move aside for the male to set down his beach chair. I couldnt believe him. O plus he had two kids and you know they are flingin sand. I felt bad for the italians i wanted to go off on him and remind him how large the beach actually is, lap sitting not permitted, but realizing I was in uniform it would not have been in my best interest. Way to go americans! Let them go back to italy and piss on us some more.

I hate rude people, but you did right not to say anything in your uniform. You can't put your company in a bad light and people that are that self centered would probably be so outraged by YOUR behavior that they'd probably make trouble for you with your employer. Some people just suck!

Sometimes you can counter rude behavior with random acts of kindness... js.

Sometimes it's not what you say to the rudeness, but how you acknowledge the infraction. I would have suggested that you go to the Italians and apologize for such inconsiderate American behavior and to tell them that not all Americans are that way. If the American's tried to respond, you could just put your hand up and say, "I was not talking to you." That would bring honor to any uniform. ... Just a suggestion.

Oh at the beach, I remember the WORST were the tourists from...well.. about where I live now. I don't how many times I had to catch blowing fastfood wrappers and ask people to please use the trash can..."we really love our beach here".

Wow I'm surprised.... usually it's the Italians that take up all the space with the screaming and yelling... and the kids are loud too
