So I was at a friends house, and got some tea. I thought it was too sweet, and they thought I was crazy.

Can Sweet tea be too sweet?

How much sugar do you add to a gallon?

Not sure but I do know that you should add the sugar while the water is boiling to make it right. I actually like unsweetened tea myself. Last thing I need in me is sugar.........smokin

I guess it depends on your sweet tooth and how you were raised. Some folks from the south like it the sweeter the better.

I go by the kool aid method. It takes 2 packs of drink mix to make a gallon. Each pack says to use a cup of sugar. I do not like it that sweet, so, I use 3/4 cup per pack of drink mix, or 1 and 1/2 cups instead of the usual 2 cups recommended per gallon.

This is what I do. I usually use 1½ C. per gallon.

I asked my friend how much they use, and she said, "I dunno, I just pour it in."

So I was just wondering.

I like a good cup of sugar.
Maybe wave some tea fumes over it.

I live on homebrewed iced herbal teas. Right now, Im drinking blueberry/green tea. I brew it in a big pasta pot. I use very little sugar maybe 1/4 cup to a Pasta pot full. I find the sweeter it is, the less it quenches my thirst. flowerforyou
