Well. I tell them first things first, I'm in a dead-end job and I'm seekind a dumpy neurotic for mutual psychological torture, tepid sex, and co-dependency. I enjoy drinking, smoking, and self-righteous indignation. Since honesty is everything, I am willing to admit that I have middling intelligence but try to appear smarter by affecting a world-weary air, memorizing useless facts, and chuckling at my own mean-spirited, agenda-driven jokes. I'm 29, but look 39 and feel 49. Sometimes I have the urge to tell women that it they're a whiny, bitter shrew with a misplaced sense of entitlement and unrealistic expectations... in time they will become coolly hostile when I don't fulfill every unmet need they've ever had. Bonus points if they've just finished screwing every guy in town and but now want to take it slow with me. I'm not shy in the fact that my perfect night out would include getting hammered in a sleazy bar while they flirt with seedy old drunks, followed by an embarrassing screaming match. I would be open to an unsatisfying fling that leaves me filled with regret and dread but prefer a long-term, soul crushing descent into booze and pills. Since I don't discriminate, age is unimportant, but I will condescend to women under 21 and rehash mother issues with women over 50. *Thunderin' Applause*  ... This clearly rates THE Mingle Hall of Fame ...
Much less one actually bein' constructed ...

When someone here emails you and asks you to tell them about yourself, what kind of things do you tell them? When you ask someone to tell you about them, what kind of info are you expecting? I just ask because it seems to happen a lot. I usually ask them what they want to know and they tell me they don't know...  .
Edited to add I'm not asking for advice. Just wondering what others tell and and expect. ummm u guys are so nice. I usually refer them back to my profile...kinda make it plain that when they ask that question it seems pretty obvious if that they can't even take a few monents to read my profile- why should I take 5 to type out a bunch of stuff about me WHEN IT'S RIGHT ON MY PROFILE 
Frankly I usually don't hear back from those particular writers, and in all honesty I do try to be nice about it, but these are my true feelings about those kinds of messages.

I usually ask for a lock of hair, blood type, recent employers phone numbers. How many men they have slept with, then put a 1 in front of it. Then I just toss in a random, like "So are you a fan of sauerkraut?"
If they reply back. I give them all the info from a random G.I. Joe's file card that I had as a kid. I think the last one was Roadblock and yet believe it or not I'm not black. Talk about awkward. She read the file card and said her credit score just dropped and she wasn't interested anymore. Took me forever to convince her I was white. Just had to show her my high score on mind sweeper. Then she knew for sure I was white, very pale white. Geeky & yet I was still denied. Some people you just can't please. I even offered to let her see my original Boba Fett. So bummed.... |

Edited to add I'm not asking for advice. Just wondering what others tell and and expect. I tell them I am psychotically and maniacally jealous, with a huge control issue. I also tell them that if it is not my way in EVERYTHING, it will be the highway...for them. I explain that with such a clear and honest response from me, there is nothing more to say...and if they so much as look at any other profile besides mine, I will make Glenn Close from Fatal Attraction look like cinderella..
