Topic: My night with Eddie Money | |
---|---|
My bestie is long time friends with Eddie Money.
We went to the Sacramento show last night and were guests of the band. Here are a couple of pix I thought you might enjoy. The show was awesome. His son, Julian, who is 14 years old, came on stage and played drums for the enore song, "Shak'n". With Eddie; he is one of the coolest entertainers I've met. He is very kind and humble. Lee is my favorite (bass player)! We smothered Glen (the drummer). |

Eddie's father and my best friend's (from high school) dad were partners on the NYC Police Force. So when Lauri got married Mr. & Mrs. Mahoney were invited along with Eddie who was also a NYC cop before getting into the music industry.
My ex-husband was stumped as to why the DJ kept saying "Mr. & Mrs. Money are here!!!" So I explained it to him, keeping my voice low to fill him in on who the guy was talking about. I said to him "Eddie is here too so keep it down." He got all excited and loud saying "He is???? Where is he?????" Slowly I reached out and moved the centerpiece out from the middle of the table and pointed across the table....right at Eddie sitting there laughing and toasting me, looking at my ex like he was a moron. To make it even better, I had met him at the bachelorette party a few days before, so when he raised his glass he just said "Hey Ei....looking good tonight!!" (What made it all the sweeter was that my ex always considered himself a music guru.....and couldn't even recognize Eddie sitting five feet away from us. ) Glad you had a good time at the show, Melody. |
