- A guy who is not afraid to take care of the ugly by waxing/shaving the hair from his entire torso (or back if needed ), trims the nose hairs, etc.

See now Melody..the lack of hair would not be masculine to me.
I think that body hair (within reason, no monkey back) is masculine.
Men have hair, just the way it is..so to take it all off would be taking off the masculine, part of what makes them a man. I like a chest with hair on it..and I really dig a little "happy trail" I must be old school that way, cause with all the young friends I have, I do realize the shaving thing is in... I know a guy that's about 10 years older than me that shaves his armpits..I find that creepy, why would a 60 year old guy want to shave his armpits... hmmmmm

I'm around a lot of body builders, swimmers, and runners. Many shave the pits for aesthetic reasons - like body builders - and many do it for the streamlining of racing - like swimmers. When it's out of context, yes, it's creepy. When I see it on the aforementioned, it's fine.

Hair (body hair) doesn't make ‘a man a man’ to me. Hair makes them *icky* and I can't get to their skin for smooching and "stuff". When I can "get to them" skin to skin they can show me they are a man! pitchfork Smooth, muscular skin makes me want their manliness!

I totally understand the world of women is divided on this issue. Thankfully, there are enough of every kind of man to go around!

(we won't be hitting on the same type if we go out together) tongue2

Of course it always comes down to preference...

Ladies, what do you consider "masculine"?

Not necessarily your legs though! I don't mind leg or arm hair. A hairless torso from the shoulders down to "ahem" the thighs - the undercarriage - and back up to the shoulders around the back side. laugh

YOU are fun and silly too ya know! flowerforyou

Yeah, I know a lot of women who like the clean shaved. The trainer who worked me out ..young guy about 22 , he shaved for his competitions. Melody, we would never hit on the same guy anyway...the age thing would be a factor. My 26 year old boy has some damn fine little friends. Their all 20 to 35 even and a few of them..yup, I gotta keep myself in check. That would freak my boy out!!! And his friends tell him, damn, your mom is hot...he does not like it at all.

right on Kristi..that's what I'm wondering. To some it's their physical, I'm thinking kinda like you are , it's more than their physical attributes, but that is, can be part of it.

I like the pic of you and your kids

well row, no men are coming in and that's what I'm wanting to know. Someone posted something earlier about the kind of women he likes are feminine and girly So I'm wondering what exactly that is. Is it a look or action, speech, mannerism....
inquiring minds want to know, damn it! laugh

You asked me about this in another thread. I will give examples of what I believe is feminine. This is my opinion and others may differ.

She is kind, sweet, gracious

She wears dresses or skirts most of the time. When she wears pants or shorts they are preppy.

She doesn't wear a ton of makeup but enough to enhance her beauty. She doesn't adorn herself with a lot of jewelry but enough to catch ones eye. I personally think a strand of pearls is sexy.

She likes to cook, bake, do crafts, if she has kids be involved with their activities with them.

If she works she acts professionally even if it is a blue collar job.

AND MOST OF ALL...strong, confident with her femininity. A strong feminine woman is extremely sexy to me!! Strength doesn't mean abusive or loud. She is intelligent to speak with tact and with facts to back up her point.

Things she should not do...

Never be abrasive unless provoked and as a last resort.

Slutty, dress showing almost everything. A little sexy is good.

Always submissive...she should be able to take control at times.

Again, jmo

alright, fair enough... had me wondering. I think this list would vary with different men though. Some of these are are an obvious personal preference. Actually I can fit in there on most..but I hate to cook and bake....
Define "abrasive" in the context your using it there.
Also " always submissive"

Please, if you wouldn't mind...

I think feminine means people who are of the female persuasion. They told me in treatment that I was androgynous so I might not be the best judge of character.laugh

Wow!huh

I am pretty sure though that I am not Emo.laugh

always submissive...I knew that would get a response. I am mainly talking about how they are in the bedroom. I am for a relationship where decisions are equally made.

Maybe a little in the 50's, but mostly today's world.

I am a man who is very gentlemanly and mannerly. I guess they can be labled at 50's traits. But some things are timeless.....

pffft.
what if she doesn't feel like it..what if she has been cooking and baking all day and staying involved with the kids activities and is tired...she should just lay there and submit???

What do you mean by abrasive...I'm pretty sure I am abrasive..and I'm sure you've seen that in my posts. Raised 3 boys...is hard to be dainty and feminine in that environment. Plus I am opinionated..that can come off as abrasive..
I am not that description of feminine...

WOW.....volumes an volumes could and have been written...can only (crudely) comment

I appreciate the complexities in people and their range.
I love how a lot women these days seem to have blended the Amelia Earhart fierce independence with the Audrey Hepburn elegance. They seemlessly segway from the smart cocktail dress to workers jeans and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty.

I think a "real man" shouldn't be afraid of any household duty and SHOULD be involved in all nurturing areas of child rearing.

There's just too much to say, but the 50s ideals are certainly antiquated. Again (crude, incomplete, and general), but we all should cook, clean, cry, and kick azz when necessary.
