Topic: The best horror movie of alltime | |

Of course I've seen it, I watch all of Miike's films. Even Bijitâ Q My apologies for ever doubting you. Another good one is A Tale of Two Sisters and Old Boy, which are Korean horror films shown around 2003. Of course, by now, everyone knows Ringu, but at the time, it is one of the scariest, in my opinion. Ringu I still consider one of the scariest I've seen, didn't care for the American remake at all. Samara wasn't even remotely scary...Sadako on the other hand |

Even now, when I looked at a movie poster of Ringu at a website, it gave me the creeps. Just the eye alone can give one nightmares. I think I had a hard time sleeping after I first watched that. |

Speaking of ghosts, another great one is The Changeling from 1980. Excellent haunted house movie. |

Night of the Living Dead. First and foremost Zombie film. Zombie films would be totally different(or not even around any more) if it wasn't for Romero's '68 film. |

The Exorcist is fantastic. That spider-crawl down the stairs
exactly! that part scared the everliving **** out of me! goddamn i love that movie! My Idea of a good Horror Film is when a woman just won't watch it. Martyrs is the only film on dvd I have seen that no woman I know, can watch it all the way through.
Now that's a real Horror Movie. i've never seen it, but your last remark raises a question with me: you said before that it have a huge gore factor, but is it actually a good movie? or just gore for the sake of gore? |

Gee "Martyrs" is alot more GORE than any movie I ever saw... I guess no one's seen it.. I've seen it several times and own it on DVD. Not the goriest I've seen, excellent movie though. Now that's a real Horror Movie. Depends on the woman , I know one lady who is far more into the extreme than I am...she's actually one of my contacts for when I'm searching out some of the more disturbing horror films. |

Exorcist...had to sleep with the lights on for a while after that...
I think I was 12 when I saw it. Scary scene of all time was Night of The Living Dead when the little girl hacks her mom to death with a hand shovel |

I always considered gore and horror two different genres. Although, some directors have been able to combine both real well. Not two different genres. Gore is a part of horror. For me horror is made up of many different sub-genres and types. One of the reasons it's my favorite film genre. To each his own opinion. - Horror- The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, Psycho, Nosferatu, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Halloween Scary, freaky, and creepy and really hardly any blood or ''gore'' at all. - Gore/spatter cinema - The Dead Next Door, Bloodfeast, 2001 Maniacs, and Dead Alive which had outrageous amounts of gore. Then of course, you have your torture porn/snuff...etc And no, I am not trying to one up your knowledge or act like an *** on the net. Just stating an my opinion |

Just stating an my opinion Guess it doesn't really matter how we categorize movies, as long as we enjoy them By the way, love all those movies you just listed there. Have you seen Blood Feast 2: All U Can Eat? Oh, and HG Lewis is working on a new film- The Uh-oh Show. |

Woot! Nosferatu Have you seen Shadow Of The Vampire? That was so damn entertaining:) Loved that movie Varney the Vampire. Give it a read. Pretty much set the stage for Vampires before they were in the cinema and years before Bmam's version. Love my Kindle:) |
