....well and a GIFT from Green! at least we were hanging in there...but better not count on any more freebies!! Why blame Green for England's woes? He's human like all of us. We all make mistakes, costly or otherwise. But where the hell was Rooney? Where was Lampard? They never did the job assigned to them. Rooney was seen defending more often than striking. As for Lampard, he was almost invisible. But the bottom line is, the USA played excellently well during the first half. They deserved the goal. It may have been gifted by Green, but a goal is a goal. Moreover, the USA played to plan. They neutralized Lampard and Rooney, thus taking the sting out of England's attack. The USA will only have to look at their second half strategy. They have a record of throwing away a lead late on during a match. If they can work this out, they can go pretty far in this tournament. |

Italy - Paraguay in 5 min..........
Don´t think the US gonna get very far. They neutralized England yeah, but didn´t have one near goal situation in the whole second half. At least I didn´t see any. England had many, and Howard rocked!!! but can´t rely on a good goal keeper to save the game, they need to organize the mid field....they were sloppy. England was a mess to. The score was more than fair...... |

England dominated them most of the game. I was disappointed in our play overall. She is right. We were a mess midfield. The score was more than fair. Hoping for some improvement after the shock of the first game however - always the optimist. Hoping that Howard returns also near 100%. |

Seriously that game was the bomb...... both Italy and Paraguay played it like a final. They left blood sweat and tears on that field. I did think that paraguay was closer to the second than Italy to the first but then they made that goal and it was on like white on rice.....
Would of hated to see either lose so Im glad they tied...... Can´t wait for Brazil......me thinks they gonna teach Corea how to Zamba..... Hope they lose tho..... |

Stretching the law of causation to a convenient sensationalist breaking point, British "newspapers" the Mirror and the Daily Mail broke the story of how Rob Green's infamous fumble in England's 1-1 draw with the USA on Saturday could be related to his recent-ish break up with Canadian "bombshell" Elizabeth Minett.
Way to go Canada! |
