Got a couple prescriptions after surgery containing MORPHINE & i'm just wondering WHY does it make my nose itch? I read all the side affects & that's NOT one of them...........

All I can tell ya,,is its addictive as hell..... Be careful,,,,I had someone I love much,,,get HOOKED... Hope YOU get feeling better and have a great week, be safe and well.

morphine does nothing for me, even releive pain. Weird.

No worries I am a total HEALTH NUT! Just had a second knee surgery & I need a 3rd so I got pain pills just didn't need 120 pills I'm going to save them for my next surgery

you gave me a idea for a poem a drug is something to use wise as thinking everything is going to be ok make sure if you have a problem have someone close by to help in the time of need as you know it doesnt matter what drug comes to mind as some can effect in differnt ways and others is a great lesson to be taught. from the inside and out as making excuse that come to mind as thinking your safe but true reality your really not so listen to your intution as your soul doesnt need to find a new restling place

After my surgery they gave me that stuff..works great. But made me really itchy, an I really had to focus to go pee.

Morphine can make U itchy, at least it did me after mt sugery, just be careful as Terry said, it can be HIGHLY addicting!!! I hope U have a speedy recovery!!

Codeine does the same to me therefore I stay away from it for after about the second day I have the most vivid dreams that are wild no good so I had to change meds...... and it would make me itch all over at times.....

It'll make most people itch...but excessive itching is also a sign of an allergic reaction too...at least in the case of Codeine. Be careful......

I used to get a nose itch when I got drunk...that's kinda related I guess..

OOOHHH geeeeee they R 5 mil so i'll tale like 3 when i need, but i'm walking and back at the gym so i'm not taking any now........I recovered FAST I still need 1 more surgery!

Oh 5 mil is nothing. Itciness is common with narcotics, so it could be normal. I've taken 200 mil. morphines and never got itchy from them.

From a web doc site with regard to morphine: Signs of an allergic reaction, such as: An unexplained rash Hives Itching Swelling of the mouth or throat Wheezing Difficulty breathing. So the itching indicates an allergic reaction. But hey, one of the other side effect is a decreased sex drive, so if all you're getting is an itchy nose, I'd say you're getting off light.
