From a web doc site with regard to morphine: Signs of an allergic reaction, such as: An unexplained rash Hives Itching Swelling of the mouth or throat Wheezing Difficulty breathing. So the itching indicates an allergic reaction. But hey, one of the other side effect is a decreased sex drive, so if all you're getting is an itchy nose, I'd say you're getting off light. |

Got a couple prescriptions after surgery containing MORPHINE & i'm just wondering WHY does it make my nose itch? I read all the side affects & that's NOT one of them...........
I'm no doctor, but I don't think you're supposed to snort it.... |

The hydrocodeine never worked for me, as far as pain, but I would sleepwalk on it and pop more pills. Oxycodeine had me puking my guts up daily, and lost 30 pounds in 30 days. Both affected my breathing. The ex that I was with said he would wake up to see if I was still breathing. Of course, he thought I was awake when I didthe sleepwalk pill popping thing, so when we figured it out, I got a lock for the cabinet.

Aleve does more for me. |

It'll make most people itch...but excessive itching is also a sign of an allergic reaction too...at least in the case of Codeine. Be careful...... |

Codeine does the same to me therefore I stay away from it for after about the second day I have the most vivid dreams that are wild no good so I had to change meds...... and it would make me itch all over at times.....
Codeine makes me severely nauseated.

I used to save the pain pills and drink with them.

Bad, bad idea. Lenny Bruce once asked "If heroin is a 'monkey on your back', what is a morphine suppository?" |
