At 80 and now a widower, it's now a real problem... I'm looking for new companionship and beyond, and the ladies my age are not inspiring... Topping that off, My son's wife just announced the she's retiring after over 30 years teaching... I'm still working... (self-employed). So I cast about, looking for a lady that is active, preferably technical, and definitely active in life as am I.... Welcome to Mingle

First off I think a lot more women in their 50's look to be in their 40's .. not men. Most men in late 50's look like my dad would. And I think a higher percentage that do not care for themselves anymore. 
Nothing wrong with being friends with or dating younger than you are if you fit in better with that generation. I think I have 1 or 2 close friends in their 50's, the rest in their 30's & 40's. Never date this age either. Usually in their 30's. Just sayin. and it's dilemma not delema

I would agree, I noticed trust me. I know I was a little hard on y'all, and a little unfair - I'll blame it on Fade. She got me ramped...good grooming is good irrespective of age. Not only do you appeat to be a very attractive man, but a sweet one as well

heres one for ya... so i went out for dinner last night... i usually always pay cash.. was at a bar and grill, well i ran a tab.. then decided to pay with cash.. in doing this i almost walked out without paying lol cause i always do pay cash.. my friend reminded me... i was embarrassed. then payed.. well today. i realize wth? she never gave me back my visa... i called bar, had my card, so i went back tonight to get it.. i decide to have one drink.. sitting next to some gals and they were discussing their guy friend going on a blind date and where should he go...i make some suggestions as to where it would not be a long date so he can get out of it early if he wishes... and 5 min later .. the one gal says.. well would you like to go on a date with my friend? i thoght humm wth? he goes on blind dates so i ask well how old is he? she said 30! i said well no thanks that is a bit young for me... she says really? i said umm yea about 17 yrs too young.. so she is adding in her head how old i am .. i could tell lol! i said im 47 she said no way!! i thought you were close to his age i said can you imaging your friend that u set me up on a blind date with.. and he finds out how old you are setting him up with? she replies lol he might like that!

who said i didnt have adventure? the last guy i dated was 32.. so i did venture . venturing over no thanks, cant seem to rid him..though i told him no not interested.. e continues to call even though i dont call back sad i do like him for a friend... but ill pass on the rest id rather find a new venture.. like going out with someone my age
