This is the only thing he has ever done. They throw the book at him..he got 22 years!! He robbed a store at gun point an the gun went off, he didn't mean for it to go off. The female was shot but did not get hurt bad. She is still alive. I just don't understand why he got so much time, that's crazy! I did all of my research on him an there is nothing else in his past. He has been locked up for 11 years in November. An he is going to try to file to get out in 2 years. 22 years is a little much for first time offense. I know a lot about him, his past an his plans for when he gets out. |

Just maybe what others said and you did not like you should listen after all. After reading all of this one and the reason he is in there shssh. All I can say is your not gonna like what they are gonna say this time either...
I guess if she had died that would have been okay as well since he says he did not mean for it to happen. But........yet he planned the robbery went to the store with a loaded gun in his hands with the intent to use it to get what he wanted. Sorry a lot of holes in the theory that he did not mean for it to happen and for that to justify what he did..... All I have to say is be carefully with your heart and the actions that follow...........Other then that nothing else that anyone says will make a difference... |

if it were my kid corresponding with, and intending to meet, a criminal, i'd probably give her a smack on the back of her head.
if it were her friend or husband to begin with, and she were defending and standing by him is one thing, but to befriend a total stranger who'd shot someone (it doesn't matter to me if the gun 'accidently' went off) sounds quite dumb to me. |

Believe me these guys have it all down pat, its part of survivng in the systemn!!!

How would you feel about him if you were the girl that "accidentally" got shot but "not hurt too bad"?

EVERYONE and i mean EVERYONE deserves the benifit of the doubt and a second chance...people do change grow and become better people if they desire to do so...also there are some pretty messed up situations out there...people getting in trouble for nothing, false accusations and a crappy justice system....court appointed lawyers that dont do anything etc etc....
so pesonsaly i dont judge someone by their past record i judge them on the amount of respect they show and on their current actions...if they are acting a fool it shows they dont want to change and dont care...then i write them off |

I believe in second chances but there is a big difference between acting a fool and armed robbery where you shoot somebody. JMO......

I believe in second chances but there is a big difference between acting a fool and armed robbery where you shoot somebody. JMO...... True that. People do some dumb azz chit because of drugs, desperation, or just plain stupidity. But there are also some folks out there that will chew you up spit out the bones and not even give it a second thought. Be careful dear. |

Hey I'm all for second chances as well but........at times those that are asking for that second chance may be doing it with false pretense as well.... therefore the way I see it everyone will do as they please no matter what anyone tells them....just don't get lost in their words along the way.....
To many times it all seems so good and real but in the end they have their own intentions behind their words.... Just be careful...... |

there are both types out there...those who change and those who pretend..
noone said throw caution to the wind... i personaly wont go around distrusting someone because of their record... when i say act a fool i mean they did their time... but they are lying here and there displaying questionable behavior...etc etc....that tells me they are full of it....so until i catch them in say "a little white lie" or they act selfish and dont try to lend a friendly hand or any other red flag material, i will treat them like i do anyone else... |

Thank you!! My god people, he was young an dumb. We all did really stupid things in our past. He has learned from all of this and "says" he has changed. My BS radar is on high, I am giving him a chance to prove himself. Like Bedlum said people do change sometimes. Yeah so he made a mistake oh man lets kill him because he made a huge mistake! I just don't understand you guys sometimes. Yes this is not the smartest thing I have done but still everyone needs a friend! No matter what happen in the past, I believe he has learned but only time will tell. Nothing wrong with reaching out to someone an just being there. So what I went to see him..nothing wrong with it. He can't hurt me! I have told him nothing romantic will come of this just good friends. |

"He can't hurt me!"..oh indeed he can...and most will, if things don't go the way he wants it to go...civilized people get back at others by suing, the uncivil by stabbing

I cannot believe I am seeing this a second time. You asked everyone for their opinions and you got them, now you are back to get more of the same?
Yes people do make mistakes, yes sometimes people do deserve a second chance, but you don’t know this guy… NOT AT ALL! No matter what you choose to believe. Please do not fool yourself by trying to justify his actions based on his own excuse (The gun accident went off) besides armed robbery it NOT a mistake. It was a calculated action. How do you not see this? I am appalled that you would even have the balls to get on here and suggest that it wasn’t that bad because the girl was not “hurt that bad” WHAT! He f-ing shot her…do you think that is something she will just dismiss as easily as you have? Please! Would you be so inclined to befriend him if this unfortunate person was your sister or your mother or even you? If you feel the need to reach out to people who need a companion, a hand, an ear or someone to be on their side, go to your local children’s hospital and get to know one of the INNOCENT children in the cancer ward! Trust me, they need you much more. |

Young and dumb is not the right excuse. Believe me, I had it lectured into my head long and loud that a gun is not a toy, and if you point it at something, you better know what you're doing. If I'm pointing a gun at a person, it WILL BE to kill them. |

That was decided in a courtroom! That was decided when he planned to hold up the place. That was decided when he pulled the trigger! Does the guy who just tried to set off the bomb in Times Square deserve a second chance? After all it never did go off, so he really didn’t hurt anyone. I’m thinking you will say no so I feel it is safe to say that NOT everyone deserves a second chance. She cannot judge him by what he says while he is in prison. It might be different had she known him prior to his “mistake” (cough) but the fact is most people in prison claim to be innocent and we all know they are filled with “nice guys” who just happen to be victims of bad situations. Right? Judging this guy can start AFTER he is released and he has a chance to prove himself in society. It shouldn’t be done now, especially by a young, impressionable girl who thinks it is her calling to save this criminal. I can’t help but wonder; if she was your daughter or your niece would you be so open to this? |
