Topic: Big Bands or Local Kids? | |
---|---|
Do you guys like listening to studio-produced artists or local talent more? I used to stick to the labels, made a quick stint with underground hip-hop and for a couple years now I've been sucked into the local music scene.
How about you guys? |

I like a little of both, but tend to listen to more under ground/ indie music.
Ever hear Immortal Technique? |

I like a little of both, but tend to listen to more under ground/ indie music. Ever hear Immortal Technique? Hell yeah I've heard of Immortal Technique! He's got some good stuff, but I like Sage Francis and the Sol.Illaquists of Sound for underground a little more. Immortal is good, but I went through a big kick of his stuff so I gotta let it sit on the back burner for a while until it gets fresh again. |

I like what I like. I don't base it on whether they're a big or small band and if they're local or not.

He's pretty awesome. |

I like what I like. I don't base it on whether they're a big or small band and if they're local or not. agreed! However on the whole, I do tend to like smaller bands. It just seems like they enjoy it more. And, I love festivals. I've gone to several concerts where I haven't known any of the bands playing. Great way to find new music + meet some pretty awesome people. |

I like listening to bigger bands, the production is appealing. Going to gigs, it's best to see the locals though. Better atmosphere.
