Adam and Eve are a myth. The Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil is a myth. Unless you are a fundamentalist Christian, there is no way around it. It isn't in my best interest to CLAIM that it is a myth, but I have explained and show why it is a myth. In this forum, you are not debating in order to convince Christians that either their sacred stories are myths or to establish a "truth": you debate in order to prove your points to yourself and to those who think the same way as you do. The whole argument about knowledge=evil is an old and rhetorical argument; I went into it in depth in my MA thesis. It is my fault, though--on a dating site, I should not expect to find a "debate" (and I loosely call this a debate because in reality, it isn't much of a debate) wherein the debaters not only have a firm grasp on the information that they are presenting, but that they are able to see points that do not agree with their own. Mea culpa. ok...I have to admit that was a pretty cool meltdown ...so now that you released all your pent up frustration can we get back on topic Go ahead--I am outta here. wow ...this is the first time I ever cause a non-believer to leave |

Love is just another term for Addiction or Pride ...there is no indication that love existed in the garden of eden or that Adam and Eve even knew what Love was or any indication of any type of addiction or pride until they ate from the fruit ...this is when love, addiction and pride entered as "desire" and therefore this knowledge was granted by Satan all those that love or have pride in someone or themselves do so because of Satan |

Oh but that isn't love, that is a desire. Desires the adreniline rush from doing as such. That is quite the opisite of love. If this person which we speak of truely loved he/she would not be able to harm one hair on these people that have been killed. Again is not love, just lustful for the adreniline rush. |

Cowboy...to claim to love someone you never met falls into the realm of being delusional...this is exactly why the term "Love" has no substance because people use it for any occassion ...you can love to hate ...you can love to kill ....love is use to justify an addiction ...so yes love is knowledge granted by Satan Wow, never thought it was Satan that gave me that warm fuzzy feeling while laying next to a woman that i cared deeply for. that fuzzy feeling is called "lust" and it's one of the seven deadly sins...so yes you get horny (no pun intended) because of Satan ... the more technology advances the more Man becomes God ...is this why God was anti-knowledge and forbid Adam and Eve to eat from the Tree ... did God create Man out of the need for vanity to have Man forever worship him as an all powerful being and this lead Satan to teach Adam and Eve that the power of God was only the sum of his knowledge ... what Satan did then is why parents today insist that their children go to school ...not to learn good or evil but to get knowledge Adam and Eve didn't go to school ...God gave them faith ...Satan gave them knowledge ....and that's why children and Adults now go to school or strive for higher education ... so can it be said that all knowledge that exist outside the context of the bible can be attribute to Satan because Satan gave Man the desire to seek knowledge before the fall from Eden all the knowledge the religious required was how to tilled the soil and give animals names.. after the fall from The Garden of Eden all the knowledge a religious person needed was placed in the bible this is why when a religious person have the desire to gain knowledge beyond the bible it is due to Satan Satan gave Man the desire to learn...to accumulate knowledge ..so can it be said that Satan do exactly what God created him to do....to be an Angel To hear the religious you would think that knowledge is a product of the devil. At the very least it is a project for major denial. which brings up an interesting question...is knowledge even a product of God...if God had a first thought that would mean that knowledge pre-existed God in order to form that first thought |
