It would be good for him to make friends his age, don't know about church, so many churches and such, feel sorry for the mom, don't know why she is crazy, but I can imagine in this day and age.

I have been to church off and on until I was about 18, but I was angel myself
 I don't think I would want to go back to church because it is all different, I do worship God in my own way and as long as you worship God in your own way nothing wrong with that.
