But right now, I wouldn't be good for anyone cause I am not happy with myself. I have my friends who don't care if I stay the same or lose weight and they are my support and I love them for it

please forgive me for saying this about your friends, but
if they truly were your friends they would see your unhappiness and work With you to help you change.
not just sit there.
whatever it took to make you happy.
thats what true friends do.

again,my apologies for speaking so bluntly.

I understand what you are saying, no apologies needed. They do see my unhappiness, but being rude or bullying me isn't gonna help me. They are being supportive in the best way they know how. They still see me as the smaller person I was a few years back, when we chat they do ask how I am doing and I am honest with them about my progress.

They way you live your life is your personal choice. I love all women. No matter the size. I actually prefer a woman with some meat on her. I think its very sexy. A bigger woman with confidence is a major turn on for me.

The only problem I have is when overly obese people try to use their weight as a handicapp. Just like smoking, if you choose to live your life that way, then you must choose to deal with the concequences. Dont get mad at me because I choose to park a good distance from the store entrance and walking that far makes you winded. Dont get mad if you have to pay for an extra seat on an airplane. Dont get mad if your to big to ride the ride.

Keeping up with the person you are with? I dated an overwieght guy last year and he certainly couldn't keep up with me. He also had a lot of medical problems due to extra pounds he was carrying.

mad I'm tired of people thinking that fat=ugly. This is not true, many big women and men have someone that loves them dearly. Why should we have to suffer, because YOU have a problem with OUR weight. And all YOU fat people out there stop calling youselves "fluffy" or "thick", you are fatflowers , and when YOU can accept that fact, you will be so much happier with yourselves. Fat should be a term of pride, and sexiness, when someone calls you fat, smile and tell them that you love the way your body jiggles, and all the extra love handles. BE PRIDE, AND SHOW OFF THAT BODY TO THE WORLD, BECAUSE YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT.
Amen sister. I totally feel like I can relate. I've pressured myself far too much into trying to be socially beautiful... the stick thin bikini wearing type just isnt me.... I've brought myself close to death a few times with horrendous diets exercise routines and weightloss pills. I've been yo-yoing my weight for too long.... I'd like to say I'm at a happy medium right now... but i'd be lying. It needs to become a social standard of acceptance... and I'm all for that movement.

and yes fat can be beautiful and sometimes it can be to much I think there is a good balance. but I do believe that USA as given young girls a bad self image as to what is beautiful I know that most model types *although there are a few that are natural* are achieved by unhealthy ways themselves such as not eating doing drugs to achieve that look as well as going so far as to eating things such a cotton and toilet paper to fill there stomachs without eating. I think as long as you have confidence can carry yourself well and are healthy than baby you are sexy. but if your unhealthy than you need to take care of yourself....

What amazes me more are those that want to try to justify whom and what they are by putting those that are not that way down in the process.

I'm what I call full figured I don't care how one puts it but myself I choose to use the term I'm comfortable with.

I have been on both sides of the spectrum for I have been smaller and now the size that I'm. Sorry I must admit I did feel better when I was smaller.

But...........the way I see it the only one that has to deal with me is me. No one can change me except me. In no way do I feel due to my weight either way will it change the person I'm within.

If your not happy with your self you will never be happy no matter what your size is.

Live life as to what makes you happy I assure you no matter what there will be those that will turn their noses up at you and find a reason to put one down if they are not happy within.........whoa

Be happy with yourself no matter what size. The confidence will speak volumes. Don't compare yourself to others. be your own person.

I'm skinny and have always been skinny (I take after my dad's side of the family) and the grass isn't always greener on the other side. We get teased and jokes made too.

There are guys that like large, skinny or it doesn't matter to them.

Very well said, and as a girl with "some meat" we appreciate you guys who aren't all about skinny women

Not that there's anything wrong with skinny women, I'm just not one of them drinks

It's all about personal choices and preferences. If you're not happy the way you are, it isn't going to matter what others think of you. If you aren't happy with yourself, do something to change it.

I'm not a skinny girl, but I do exercise and work on being healthier. Will all guys be attracted to me? Of course not and that's fine with me.

I've had 1000s of femmes on my work table, birthday suits only ...

flowerforyou ... Women are just absolute, beautiful, works of art ...

I've seen so many varieties, all gorgeous!

As for the cottage cheese and flab and rolls ...???

... I've seen it equally on skinny, scrawns ... REALLY!

Being in shape is very individual ...

I look anorexic from 100 to 120 ... I need meat on my curves!

Muscles and curves do beat high fat percentage though ...

But, the fat does help make the curves, we need it!

Women can be quite large and still in great shape ...

Tone is everything, no matter the size ... BONE STRUCTURE dictates the best size!

... AND!? ... I need to get my tone back, I've really let the accident dictate me letting go...

That is my personal desire, all must seek their own comfort zone ...

And ... Women are just softer and more pliant, no matter HOW in shape and low is their fat percentage ... ALWAYS!

Trust me, I've had MANY men on the table too ... We will NEVER be like that, nor should we be!!!

... think

I am thinking we all agree that fitness and good health are key, that acceptance should be extended to every version and size of such!

... And we should cheer each other striving towards such a goal, men and women, and display incredible, marked understanding that the journey there is not always easy!

... Esp as age factors in ... Let's support each other!

And, also accept that we all like a different flavour, so we will all have a match ...

noway ... It would be awful if it were all cookie~cutter, as per magazine hype!

Loved when Jamie Lee Curtis was aging out and refused to be touched up for her magazine editorial, displaying what a real, beautiful woman her age would and does typify ... flowers

Just be real ...

I used to be stick skinny and look in the mirror and go "Oh, my butt is fat". Now I'm heavy set and I look in the mirror and go "Oh, my butt isn't THAT fat." laugh It's all just a matter of perspective and personal preference.

For me personally, I'd prefer to be thinner. I'm 5'7" and have weighed from 100 to 200 pounds, so I've been at both ends of the proverbial fat/skinny scale. And I must say that carrying the excess weight around is very frustrating. I get winded much easier, and I can't physically do the things I used to be able to do when I was thin.

My preference for being thin isn't based on wanting to attract guys or look good in a bikini; it's more to do with feeling like I can participate in the activities I enjoy without struggling so much with the physical limitations that being overweight imposes on them. Kinda hard to run the dog if I can't even bend over to tie my own sneakers! grumble

I'm losing now and shooting for a happy medium that's healthy and allows me the activity level I desire. What I look like in the mirror has little to do with it, since I see what I want to see anyways.
