While I will agree ALL are worthy of love...fat is not beautiful...
it is unattractive and it is unhealthy. If we truly love ourselves we will be health conscious and take care of ourselves. jmho

Stereotype that health equals thin.

It isn't true.

People can be healthy and not be thin.

It is when it gets in excess that is becomes unhealthy and it is still that persons business if they want to deal with the health issue.

And fat is definitely beautiful to some people.

I believe that people are beautiful by what they do, their character, how they act, how they treat others, etc...

The beauty is housed in many shells making the shell beautiful too.

yep i still love you, and you should be a motivational speaker, your words are so beautiful, and you actually think before you say something that is so rare for some peopleflowerforyou

mad I'm tired of people thinking that fat=ugly. This is not true, many big women and men have someone that loves them dearly. Why should we have to suffer, because YOU have a problem with OUR weight. And all YOU fat people out there stop calling youselves "fluffy" or "thick", you are fatflowers , and when YOU can accept that fact, you will be so much happier with yourselves. Fat should be a term of pride, and sexiness, when someone calls you fat, smile and tell them that you love the way your body jiggles, and all the extra love handles. BE PRIDE, AND SHOW OFF THAT BODY TO THE WORLD, BECAUSE YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT.

I agree..people should accept themselves and each other for who and what they are..but speaking as one of the people who IS different and the world has NO problem showing me that I am..That will never change..If you don't look like the girls/guys in Hollywood then you may as well be an alien from outer space.

Stereotype that fit is thin also.

There is a certain amount of fat we can have before our health is effected. So thin is not the sign of health or fitness.

Like I said before I am not thin and never will be. I do not want my health to be effected by being too overweight so I eat healthier and I do exercise.

I quit eating fried foods and sodas twenty years ago. It did not make me thin but I believe my health is as good as it is because I did so.

I will not tell anyone else how to live and what to eat. It is their right to live how they wish.

But fat can be attractive just as skinny can be.

People are people and they can act beautifully, showing respect for all or they can act ugly and have prejudice and hatred.

I agree with you; its a health issue which can lead to diabetes and heart attack. I want to be with someone a long time and don't want him to die just because he won't exericse or lose weight.

i have diabetes, and ive been living fine with it, and so are alot of other people who have it too, dont count us out so easily

My brother has diabetes; was type 2 and now type 1 because he wouldn't lose weight. He had 4 heart attacks and a stroke. That should be a wake up call to anyone with a brain in their head. I wouldn't date a man that would endanger his life because he hasn't got the common sense to stay fit. I am a large girl myself and will never be thin but I sure as hell can stay fit. I don't want to burden our health care system for something I can fix myself.

Its actually not ALWAYS unhealthy..I have seen some very healthy larger people..It just depends on the inner health of the person..If the heart, lungs, etc etc are healthy I don't see anything wrong with being bigger..SIZE does not always make the difference..alot of people refuse to see that people can be too skinny just as they can be too big

im sorry to hear that i truly am, but being fat isnt his only problem, u can be big and be healthy, people should try to help them stay healthy, rather try to entirely change who they are, and you can help your brother as well, please do that, but other people in the world need to learn to live with us and help us be healthy not lose so much weight

I have no issues with people big or small, I just think that a person should be healthy and able to live a good life....

But it upsets me when I see posts that ask others to not judge them and accept them for who they are and then go on to state things like this..."oh and big women are more pleasant to be around and not so bitter"

This thread is laoded with women agreeing but, I'd like to hear from more men. I'll have to agree to disagree. I'm small & will do my darndest to stay that way!!! I wouldn't say I'm any sexier than anyone else & less so than many. But, at least I'm happy in my own skin.

laugh laugh laugh the outside of a person does not make the person! its within... fat, obese, lean, skinny... none of that matters on attitude.. now attitude does make a difference o being pleasant to be around.. how one carries their self has not a thing to do with weight.

Awakening people into conciousness is fine...yet there will always be people who are going to judge...no matter what they see. The more educated and exposed to the world, the less a person will have to say about another. When a person walks into a room, most will run through a quick mental checklist on how this person appears- from clothes to looks to presence. People still have a long way to go with such a easy chore on clearer ways to view life.
