FLASHBACK THREAD!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!

Why wasn't I on this one?? The whole old crowd was here, Nus, Karensmiles, Creationsfire, Newg, Davinci, Sassy, Nativegurl,laughs...and some of us who hung around..... I wonder if Nus and Karen are still together?

I was kind of on the edge of all the groups, sung in the chorus, worked on the stage crew, didn't really have to study to do well, hung with the stoners but didn't do anything but have a few drinks.

It's pretty great, isn't it?

I had a few 'awwwww' moments reading it...we've been here a REALLY long time..slaphead

I don't know of clique names in the US...

I suspect, an art major, excelled in english, was spell bound in the sciences, found math interesting, but somewhat frustrating in the senior years...

Smoked out the back...the odd doobie may have passed your lips...

the Earth mother of the group...

the wild child of the pack...

Queen of the Drama club...(not the emotional turbulence variety, but rather the performance art variety)

Oh wait!

I think I am talking about me also... laugh laugh laugh

Woah!!! ... shocked

Ding~ding ... we have a slam~dunk winner!!! ... True on every count ... Amazing ... MY sister ... drinker

All of the above ... and Queen of The Surf Club ... W/ the finest surfer as my beau ... shades shades

Straight A+ record ... freak(stoner)/geek(top of every class)... check on art major, english premium, drama buff ... and science/math solid competitor w/ the geek lads! ... My pencil down first in every exercise and test was my consistently achieved quest!

... Though at times even suspended for the 'smoke out the back doobie' (which was far more than the 'odd doobie' ... was my medicine then!)

... YES! ...Absolutely an out~of~the ~box Earth Mother, wild child ... and a teacher's pet that was released to our surrounding forest to 'do my work in peace', where I sometimes was caught on the riverside w/ the smoke permeating my immediate perimeter ... Read: 'Stoned off my box!' ... laugh

...My teacher's all knew that my mother had died when I was lil, my father was abusive, that I was on the streets, I lived in cars, had no home, worked until 1 am each night to survive ... Their love and compassion and sponsorship of me was a saving grace! ... Even managed to gain the best scholarship!

Somehow? I was very popular and successful, despite my harsh circumstances and extremely tough road to hoe ...

Supernatural intervention? Yes, I feel certain ...

flowerforyou  ... What a mirror we are of one another, indeed, Lee ... smooched

Oh crap Kate! I have tears and goosebumps....

I didn't mention surfing, I held that back... I didn't want to assume you lived near the ocean as a young un...

add to the mix an instant and deep passion for horses...

I spent most of my school life in the middle of the paddock, I read my lessons out in the air, under the sky, less disruptive for everyone else, (my constant questioning drove the teachers nuts) ...

Art, music, movement, the deep hunger for learning...History, an opportunity to slide into imagination...

English...an already insatiable hunger for knowing more, finally fed, and steered in a manner that would serve me well.

Phenomenal, and perfect.....I do know you!

A Mirror...

Dear Lee ...

I too had the horse thing, still do ... PASSION! ... Just far less access!

They were my favourite animal in childhood, and remain.

... drinker ...

I even trotted like a horse when I ran.

I would do anything to be near/with them, and spent all my time in the pastures of my vicinity ...

 ... I only had a horse for a year, as a young lass ... I read every library book that we had on/about horses!

I've read your tales of your life, mastery w/ horses w/ great longing and admiration, WOW!

You are beyound kindred ... it is wonderful view to myself in another ... flowerforyou

i was the "not a high school cliche" kid.

i went to school for the purpose of learning something and i got out at the end of the day. most of the people my age bored and annoyed me with their ...high-schooliness.

I was just mean...if I didn't like you, I really let you know it. I hung with the "bad" kids...stoners and such, but I did make straight As...not really sure how sometimes.
