...what is it?

How do you show it?

Who do you show it to?

Who gets your respect, and who doesn't, and why?

How did you learn this?

What are some of the ways YOU show respect to others?

I respect everyone for being human....then they can go up or down with the respect level based on actions and attitude.

wait...forgot there were more questions....

I learned this on my own.

I treat people as I would want to be treated.

what were the other questions?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh we are full of questions today noway shshsh gonna make some brains hurt on this one....laugh laugh laugh laugh laugh

Hummmmm myself I try to respect others in what they do and say and only ask the same in return. Kind of like do unto others as you would want them do unto you.

As far as who I tend to give respect to everyone until they break that respect then well what can I say they will have to earn it from then on that is if I'm still talking to them after what ever they have done.

I don't care for rude people nor have the time to argue with them so I tend to by pass them and ignore them. I may still tolerate those but I loose respect for them and what they have to say....whoa

Are the original post considered to be "multi-tasking questions" to be answered all within one post, or can we simply answer each one individually in it's own posting?

I respectfully await your reply!

I believe basic respect is love for your fellow man, which I give to all people unless they act or speak in a way to tarnish it but technically...

Respect is high or special regard for someone or something, usually based upon their actions or achievements

I show it by showing consideration to others and giving them the courtesies I expect in return

I show it to my elders, authority figures, anyone who has earned some reverence

Adults who carry themself with certain integrity and self respect get my respect in return

I learned this through the example of my elders

What is it?......the honouring of another for their uniqueness irrespective of species, gender or cultural history.

How do you show it?.....By allowing the other to show themselves, without me deciding for them who they may or may not be.

Who do you show it to?.....To those that have integrity, and are capable of allowing my specific uniqueness without deciding for me, who I am allowed to be.

Who gets your respect, who doesn't and why?.......I offer respectfulness towards the life force within all, I refuse to respect those that are intetionally harmful to others.

How did you learn this? Initially through peer group socialisation, and eventually through understanding my own integrity and value structure.

What are some of the ways YOU show respect to others?....By SEEING them, in all their uniqueness, in their lifeforce energy, and allowing them to show themselves for WHO they are, not WHAT they are.

Acceptance, allowance, tolerance....of those who value all life force energies of this Earth receive my respect and admiration.

It is oft' extended in a probationary kinda trust to be earned ...

In manifestation...

... It is an equity of relationship, of two holding each other in highest regard through the fruits of their labours ...

It works two~way.

... It is a mutuality in caring through kindness, compassion, integrity and thoughts, that are backed up w/ solid, well~intentioned actions of dilligence...

Someone making good on the said, or unsaid, promise to take good care of the heart and life and trust that you have placed in their hands ... NEVER hurt ...

There is also the deepest 'respect' extended for those that we do not know for their good works, artistry, discoveries, intelligence, break throughs and etc.

flowerforyou ... It is a state of being profoundly impressed, as I am w/ you, for you and by you, dearest Twin Flame!

The pay~offs are infinite ...

Heya Kristi....

yeah full of questions.... I watched a debate on whether young people 'should' call adults by their first name, or a title, and if so why...

had me wriggling in my seat, and gnashing my teeth....seems it was more about powerplay, and 'authority' which is easily abused....and less about respect...it had me wondering do they even know what respect is.... or are there a million variances of it..?????

As I am blessed to be gifted w/ the present/presence of you in my life, mystical does not begin to describe or define it!

It struck me that I had left out the tremendous respect that I have for those that demonstrate unearthly, immortal~like acts of courage and bravery in the face of horrible evil, adversity and trials this Earth has delivered some to overcome ...

For them? Heart pounding respect, tears and prayers unending ... flowerforyou

So I'll choose........

How did you learn this?

Everything I needed to know about life, I learned in Kindergartenshades ....

But pain... seems to me an insufficient reason not to embrace life. Being dead is quite painless. Pain, like time, is going to come on regardless. Question is, what glorious moments can you win from life in addition to the painnoway  laugh laugh laugh laugh

People earn my respect.

Until they do they get politeness.

If they lose it they get nothing.
