Canada was a bigger, stronger, and more physically talented team. The U.S. overachieved. They were not predicted to even medal. Get over it and enjoy the fact that we witnessed a great game.

Well John,I just returned from a conference which included Gary Betteman,owners,coaches & selected staff that represent our glorious U.S.A.based NHL clubs.It was decided by a unanimous vote that we shall keep that prestigious,shiny,infamous & glorious 35lb.Lord Stanley Cup.But do not fret eh!for I have a clever idea for you canucklehead.Don't cry now just listen because this may work out in the end to your advantage.I suggest that you stack a bunch of toilet seats together with lots of maple syrup as a sealant.Then conceal this clever fake with several yards of aluminum foil.Don't spare the expense on the foil eh!Mount it on a very high platform behind stained glass with minimum lighting.As an example of our great sportsmanship that our outstanding players possess we shall post a pic.of the genuine trophy that we shall be keeping right here forever in our beloved country.God Bless the U.S.A. & our Stanley Cup.

{{{p-s))) You're too funny sweetheart.K;I'll answer your question openly & honestly because you are a lady & one of thee mingle peeps that I admire at the site.K;I have a teaspoon of crow to eat due to the fact I made the"whoop azz"comment which came to bite me when all was said & done sadly.Part of my steely confidence was hinged on the fact that Luongo is a nervous,unsteady net-minder who gives up a ton of rebounds & a loose catching glove hand.

I fully expected my boys to cash in on this weakness however they failed to partly due to Canada upholding some solid defense around him.U.S.A.implemented the same strategy & forcing things to the outside.It was a very exciting & quick pace game with little to no applied pressure from either side."Hemming them in"scenario is what I'm referring to.Neither side allowed much"taking up shop"in front of their net-minder either.A very defensive minded game was in effect on both ends.

I'm quite happy and very proud that our team took silver but I am a bit disappointed at the same time because there is also another underlying reason that I wanted that Gold so badly.I wanted my beloved country to pay homage to Herb Brooks{R.I.P.}by capturing Gold again.He is the infamous coach that led the U.S.A to the Gold Metal victory in 1980.Sadly we fell a bit short in the end & blew it in sudden death OT.However this was a very exciting & enjoyable game with an electrified crowd.My congrats!dear to your beloved country for their win of that elusive Gold.You can expect our respective countries to clash again in the future.
