very seldom do I
once in a while when someone or a noobie says something in the forums I'll click on em to see where they live or how old are they to have a better idea of where they are coming from but other than that I never look at people's profiles |

at other peoples profiles, especially if they are new or a rare poster, To get a idea of who they are? Funny thing tho, when they post a profile pic out of several, usually I see one that think they should be using instead  because it's nicer.
Nope don't look at profiles, I get a hint of who they are on the forums. |

I look at people's profiles sometimes if I am in a discussion with them on the forums. It helps me to communicate better with them to know the age, gender and possibly some background.

I read them when they are new. Females anyway. Just because I want to see if they are creative enough to not use the same tired cliches. Not a fan of the woman who has 3 kids who are her world and if you can't handle that you better step off, loves long walks on the beach, is as comfortable in jeans as she is in that little black dress, is shy at first but warms up quickly, and is looking for a man who will treat her right and not like that low down, lying, cheating, dirty dog she just broke up with? Seriously????

I tend to read profiles as well as join the forums.Seem many times what someone typed in their profile,is far from the truths of their actions, when posting in forums.
Haven't been here for about a month. So thought I'd mingle back again. |

I will look at a guy's profile if something about him catches my attention. I'm not interested in chicks, but I will occassionally look at something in a lady's profile if they say something that I can relate to geographically or something that we may exchange information about, ie. if they mention a specific place that I used to live or work, or if they have a particular recipe or gardening tip that I may wish to discuss with them. But not for "relationship" stuff. That's the guys only, with me.

I check out profiles, male and female since I am here mainly for friendship, if they say something that is so witty or smart of just plain interesting to me. I think it helps give me a much better idea of who it is that got my attention. Also will check out guys profiles if they catch my eye in a forum pic, to see if he lives anywhere near me and is age appropriate! (so far that is a 0 - any Mainers out there??) I also check them out when I get email from strangers.

I view profiles for these reasons:
really cute/really ugly pic interesting screen name clever/stupid post on the forum they happen to be a weirdo who viewed me first they happen to be one of my fav people on here Otherwise, I couldn't care less. |

I browse all the time ... I enjoy seeing WHERE peole of from , or reading about others ... its intersting ... I do not put alot of seriousness into ... just being polite , ya know :)

Well, I've never really had an issue with people who wanted to post a pic of a cat or a duck or an accordion or one of the smaller moons of Neptune. People have different attitudes about being seen "in public" on -- perish forbid! -- an internet dating site....! OK, whatever. What puzzles me is when they have 12 pics, all of the same 3 women. And they never tell you which of the 3 is actually on the site. I mean, if someone is willing to post a pic of himself/herself, shouldn't it be just one person, so we know? But, to me, the real tragedy is the unending deluge of truly abominable profiles, profiles that could have been written better by a fiddler crab with an Etch-A-Sketch. |

I really don't care or rate them or anything You find out so much more what someone is like if ya give them enough time in the forums Ya see the personality changes little by little Then POW ya see the real them-----some good----some not so good but to each his own I mingle I schwingle And never the two shall meet
