I checked it out. That humming drove me nuts. I wonder if those poor bears can hear it. That camera seems a bit intersuive. Hopefully they don't mind too much. Atleast they seemed peacful when I saw, they were sleeping. When I have seen her awake... there are times that she'll look into the camera... it doesn't appear to bother her. I am sure if it did... it wouldn't be there anymore! 
I saw on a show once where they put a camera on a falcon to track it, but the camera was so big and heavy it couldn't fly, they just moved it more towards the center of its body. I'm sure it still bothered the poor bird. On the other hand though, we did learn some interesting things from it. |

She stole a strap from the mounting yesterday and tried to make it bedding....
. I don't think the camera is bothersome at all, she just continues on with her business like nobody's watching.

That she does.....I'm hoping she removes them tout de suite! She wore herself out today dragging in this huge branch, then promptly went to sleep. I keep checking to see if she has moved it. She also sat on the camera and jiggled it all around. It was quite a show to watch! You can't see her at all right now.

I have been checking in on here quite a bit. Now, I can't see anything with the tree in the way.

She must have moved the tree. You can see right in the den again. She's sleeping now.

She scratched... I don't know if she is awake or not though.

She appears to be in a deep sleep now.

She came back in... did some housekeeping... and appears to be resting again.

The researchers have said that they think Lily is finally starting labor. I hope it's tonight!

I just tried to see Lily and an hour ago too. I got this message both times:
Connection Interrupted The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading. The network link was interrupted while negotiating a connection. Please try again.

Just checked on Lily.... I didn't have any problem with connection; it must be fixed now.
She appears to be sleeping! |

I'm hearing another noise in there. It's like little hiccups.

For those of you that missed it......Lily had at least one cub at 11:38 her time (12:38 my time this AM). There is a youtube video showing the birth and you can hear the cub crying! She is on live right now still and frequently you will hear the baby. Sounds just like a human baby. They are still unsure if a second cub was born or not as Lily has assumed a "cocoon" position around it/them.
We watched it live at work. It was amazing. |
