You are welcome Kayak. She has a facebook page too if anyone is interested. I really enjoyed watching her this evening getting prepared. It appeared as though she was going into labor, but now she is resting more peacefully.

 at Totage.

I saw her moving around. She scratched her tummy. One time she stuck her tongue out.

We watched Lily awake for quite some time today. She was rearranging her bedding and licking and grooming herself. Then she fell asleep with her head up next to the camera. It was quite a show! People seem to think the time is quite close for cubs!

She's back and sleeping again.

Heather, Lily's site said this:

"We suspected one of Lily’s forays outside was to defecate. Donna did the same. In front of her den is a neat pile of droppings. It will be interesting to collect them in spring and determine the contents. This brings up two issues for a future update—the fecal plug and how bears often go the many months of hibernation without eating, drinking, urinating, and defecating."

I checked it out. That humming drove me nuts. I wonder if those poor bears can hear it. That camera seems a bit intersuive. Hopefully they don't mind too much. Atleast they seemed peacful when I saw, they were sleeping.

I don't think the bear can hear it

it's the 60 hz hum from the camera power supply. it's prolly just on the sound track

When I have seen her awake... there are times that she'll look into the camera... it doesn't appear to bother her. I am sure if it did... it wouldn't be there anymore! laugh

I imagine to Lilly the camera is just another rock or stick

I seriously doubt that she is aware of it beyond that
