they almost all sound like a generic blue print of each other.
every profile i've looked at wants: an honest, fun-loving person, who is romantic, caring, sweet, with a laid back personality and either likes to stay in or go out. it's pretty hard to avoid the ones who like to 'stay in or go out' isn't it? |

I like to stay in and go out but not necessarily at the same time.
haha yeah, that didn't quite come out the way i intended. i didn't really think the issue was the beach, in and of itself, but that rather the overuse of it in profiles (along with every other trait, like, dislike, interest, etc. they mostly all sound like carbon-copy versions of one another and almost all of them are sickening to read). personally, i could care less what's written in others, or what's thought of my own. similar-minded people tend to seek each other out and/or be found and that's good enough for me. |

Has anyone stopped to think that LOTS of people genuinely like the beach and that is why this is included in their profile? Maybe they do not spend half their day picking apart other profiles. Perhaps they are busy walking on the beach and not spending their day arguing about it on the internet. So perhaps we should forgive their cliched innocence. |
