I'm in California and I live right on the San Andreas fault. The maximum probable magnitude moment for this fault is an 8+. So, when the big ones hits, its gonna level my city.

Where do you live and what's the probable natural disaster there? Ever been through one?

I live in Maryland and hurricanes have gone through here. I've heard about the occasional tornado, but have never seen one.

Live on the East coast of southern Florida, we get hurricanes and lots of them. Thankfully this was a quiet year for us.

Same here..The Wasatach Front is a big giant fault, massive earthquake, all the mountains crumble into the valley we sit in.

The ice storm I survived last winter was the scariest natural disaster I been thru

I live about 150-200 yards from the 'Mon River' in the Pittsburgh area, so my house gets flooded about once a decade. Always in winter even! So far the worst has been in '85 when the water (that backed up through the sewers) came up to about 1 foot from the first floor in the basement. NOT fun!

I live on Delmarva (Maryland, Delaware and Virginia Peninsula) and I think the thing that hurts most here are the Nor'Easters (Winter Hurricanes) and some tornadoes (I have seen mostly water spouts hit the beach more than anything).

I've seen tornadoes. Never one that caused HUGE damage, but is still something that's not something you want to see. Luckily I live in a valley, so they 'skip' over me.

Florida is now going thru Hurricane Tribbles...It's a mess here...

Ice is about the worst we get in upstate NY. It did shut down the area for about two weeks. The ice build up was too heavy for the trees. Tress crashed all around shutting down the streets. We used snow plows to move them out of the way for emergency vehicles.
It also built up around the electrical transformers up on telephone poles and were exploding all night long all over town.

I am my own natural disaster

I live in southwestern Va. hmmm perhaps our biggest disaster would be running out of moonshine.

There was this one time, I was driving in traffic and needed to go REAL bad... To make a long story short, A Tsunami in my underoos.

January 98 is when the ice storm hit southern Ontario and Quebec in Canada. It was devastating to all. No electricity in some areas for up to 8 weeks. The minimum time was 2 weeks for everyone to get back to work and try to live a bit of the same way they did before the storm. Then in August 03 southern Ontario had a major blackout as did New York and other states. It lasted one week. The weather has changed big time in the past 10 years in all parts of the world.

I am on the coast of Maine, we get Nor'easter's but I haven't been here long enough yet to experience one.

During my 20 or so years in North Central PA I was in a couple of hurricanes....one when I jumped out of the car to rescue a wondering toddler from a huge fir tree that was coming down. Acted without thinking and glad I did! Shook from fear afterwards.... That was one long drive home, what should have taken about an hour took almost three, trees crashing everywhere and me thinking my grandmother was home alone in this storm. Thankfully my mom had picked her up but they were chased for miles by the storm, mom managed to stay just ahead of it until finally being able to turn into a super store parking lot. The dang storm was following the road at the bottom of mountains on either side of it! Scary day all around.
