ok, so from little that i now know, my girls are being stalked on the interned by some perv asking and doing things that are just out of this world. i dont want to go into details, but i do have his email addy, but i am wondering what is anything i can find out just from his email address, what can i do to get him to stop, and i am not apposed to paying him a visit.

You have to be the one to make sure your kids are safe on the internet.

for beginners, set them up their own accounts on the computer, this way you can decide where they go and what they do online.

There are tons of free child safe programs to help keep the safe.

Find someone that knows how to write code. Open source. Linux. Unix. Something. From an e-mail you can trace just about anything, including their IP address which can tell you where they live, which can tell you where they work...

You know... if you don't trust the cops either..

Be sure to save all the messages... you start opening their stuff and reading their stuff from this person. Be careful... this person might have more than one screenname/email/etc. Keep a record of all of this. Call the police. If it is sexually explict or solictatious in nature, contact authorities right away... they might be able to get a hold of this person on sexual assault charges or stalking if your children have asked the person to stop contacting them.

A word from some one who works in the field of Security and Personal Protection dear, If you have the means to trace this scuzball online by all means the local police can use all the extra info you can provide!!! But sweetie BY NO MEANS and I mean NO MEANS
should you go and confront someone, you have know Idea who they are or how many there are or what they are capable of!!! your insincts are normal for a parent and your anger is justified, But think of it this way, If you go to confront this person that just may very well be what they want and could leave two beautiful childeren without a mother!!! Hei ok, my advice print out all the emails or w.e and take it to your local police department they will do something to trace him. Although it cannot always be done thru his IP address they have other resources, and do not even email him back it could back fire on you. Your kids do not need to tell him to stop either he has no business contacting children to begin with and regardless of what you put on your computers to keep your children safe keep checking like you are now because there are ways around those parent blocker things even unintentionally actually. Anyway if you go to the police department they will write a report and take care of it and you will most likely not have to do a thing...hope it helps and i wish you the best of luck

Since this perv probably knows more about you and your kids than you yourself know you need to go to the cops immediately. I can not imagine any county or state police doing anything but taking this very seriously. Those that have said what a dangerous situation this is are NOT over exaggerateing in the least. The sad fact is it is likely that this person probably does not work alone and is probably shareing your information with equally or more scummy people. The commuter can be fun but few people really don't have a clue what you are exposeing yourself to being on line. Anything in your computer is as public as if you published it in a world wide newspaper.

I do not suggest doing anything illegal. However, if he emails you might be able to identify his ip address which might lead to information about him or where he was using the web at. However if he gets complicated with proxy it can become a whole new game. Simply install a computer program that monitors your computer activity for your children. Minors should not be allowed on computers for long periods of time without supervision.

Don't delete any of the emails.

i kinda forgot i posted this here so a quick up date is in order.

they guy was very sexually aggressive, we did get the police involved after doing a lil work on our own. the sick $%#%#% had no problem showing himself masturbating for my husband all though he thought was talking to one of my girls.

more than once he asked them to get on the cam and take their shirts of. he used disgusting language that i couldn't believe my eyes.

i have taken a picture of him, so i know what he looks like. but i know the police are on him, and are well aware of what he has been up to. he has not tried to contact my girls in some time. if i hear anymore about has happened to him i will update.
