Topic: Best top three bands. | |
---|---|
Despite my lack of rythmical ability, I love
music. Country, rock, clasic rock, even a instamentals. I also love to explore new music (YouTube is my best friend ;) ). That being said, I thought I would turn my mingle peeps to learn a few more bands and possibly introduce you to a few. A quick run down of your favorite bands and maybe a few songs could be pretty cool and Ill probably explore most of them. Let us know what'cha got! Skillet- Christian rock. They have had a few songs hit mainstream but about everthing off of their last three albums is pretty sick. (great lift or fight music) Framing Hanley- emo rock. They have pretty cool songs that I can relate to all except the lolliepop remix. I would suggest "alone in this bed" and "it's not what they said" but they have very few bad songs. Vitamin string quartet- instamental covers. they do all covers from all genras. They can do some pretty crazy things, check out their cover of "martini kiss" by Senses Fail. |

I will list three for you to check out. These are three bands that I really enjoy, and hopefully you will too.
1. NIGHTWISH: Classified as "symphonic metal", this band is an acquired taste. The music and lyrics this band puts out are second to none, and collectively you can tell that they were meant to play music as a unit. Check out Poet and The Pendulum. 2. QUEENSRYCHE: They have been around since 1984, and while you may know them for their commerical album "Empire" (Which produced the hit Silent Lucidity), the true genius of this bands work is their 1988 album Operation: Mindcrime. If you listen to it, read up on it before you do, because the whole album is a story, with each song telling different parts of it. 3. BOYS LIKE GIRLS: Progressive rock, and probably the best progressive band out there (least I feel they are). You probably have heard them, but I just they needed to be mentioned. Hero/Heroine will be a classic one day. |
