Besides that, Harald should be able to remain grateful to America for the rest of his life.
Wasn't it enough that we harbored him for the entirety of WWII?
He ran and hid here while his people suffered the occupation of German troops.

We arent Canada or Australia. We didn't wait until they got tired of us and gave us Independence.
We kicked their Royal butts out and took our Independence.

The second sentence in our Declaration of Independence states,

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.

Why would any US President bow to any Royal?
Esp. the Queen or King of England.
It erks me every time I see it happen.


Does it give you a problem, he bowed to the Saudi King
and to a Jap Emporer?

as for me it just seems like a courtesy. Like shaking hands

Obama did overdo it a little bit though. He bowed way too deep and he was suppose to keep his eyes on the emperor

what one views as terrorism another views as fighting for freedom
likewise
what one views as a courtesy, another views as a weakness



the latter seems a trivial thing to concern oneself with politically,,but thats just my opinion , with which many will disagree

but bowing in Japan is the equivalent of shaking hands. everyone bows to everyone. on that basis it's just being courteous
