How do you ask someone if they are having an affair or cheating on you without starting an argument? Because you know defenses automatically go up as soon as someone is accused of something Tell her you just turned gay, and if she could recommend some guys for you from her collection.

If the adultery is not blatant or there is no other mistreatment going on, I would just state that I felt that there was something that he wasnt telling me and that I dont want him to feel he has to hide anything from me. Id explain that my goal was for both of us to be happy and if he wasnt, I really would like us to try to work on it by starting clean.

If you have to ask either you already know or you're paranoid, and either way that means the relationship is over. I think if there is love established and they weren't cheating then they would want to talk about it, not get defensive.
