Topic: What Do You Consider Rude? | |
---|---|
I agree with all the other replies, but a more specific example on Mingle is when someone gives a quoted compliment or greeting to another member and the OP ignores the gesture. I see OP's who post a topic give "special" efforts to some who participate but not to others. A general comment does not warrant a personal reply necessarily, but when a member is trying to give someone a quoted reply in kind, I think it's rude if the other person doesn't at least acknowledge the effort. Shoot, even a ![]() ![]() ![]() I think a lot of that comes with the cliques and "freeze outs" we see on social sites. ![]() Just my ramblings ... ![]() ok, ok Melody, I get the hint. ![]() ![]() I'm cooking for a house full of teenagers..I got busy, I had to go pee, I didn't come back and tend to my thread.. *pfft* Can't you pee and type? ![]() ![]() |

I try to live by " Do unto others as you want done unto yourself."
If someone is rude to you, kill 'em with a smile and itll put them in their place. If they come up to you on their cell chattin away, just help the next person or ignore them til they're off. Doesnt work all the time but we at my job use it.For one, we do have several notices on doors and elsewhere posted saying NO cell phones. I mean REALLY......is it THAT difficult for some people to follow simple directions ??? And the best part is, when they come up and complain about how long it will be til they're seen. Well, now.......what do you think maam ??? |

The world is full of rude acts and I do not know where to start .
People not respecting the queue, smoking in your nose, looking at you as if you are an alien with two heads.....etc....etc. |

stab me in the back with a knife..I would definitively turn around say "Yo. That's rude".
Other than that..I just let the ***.h.les do whatever they want..they are the majority and rule the world (you can tell) I'm just trying to get by..and at the end, I will win anyway. |

I have to say the driving of some is an irritant...the ones that could cause a wreck and then be looking in their rear view mirror going..."hummm, wonder what happened back there".
And another that was mentioned here..the bumping into or almost knocking ya over as they pass by and not at least just saying..opps, sorry, or excuse me. I don't get that... |

When you invite someone to dinner and they say they will let you know tomorrow if they can make it and they never call.

It annoys me til no end that when you're out food shopping and you're close to the side that you need something from in the aisle and someone just walks in front of you without saying " excuse me ".
I always say excuse me when I walk in front of someone if they're looking that way, its only polite. |

Rude? Hmmmmmmmmm. 1. Taking the time to write an email and not get any kind of response is rude. 2. Cell Phones. I am really over it. It is normal and people just need to shut the hell up about it. Cell phones are a part of our lives. If they want to talk, then let em. However....... 3. Cell Phones in a movie theater. Turn the damn things off. I didn't pay my money to hear you on your phone. Or hear it beep when you get a text message. And I sure as heck do not wanna see you backlight on while I am enjoying my movie. 4. Pants down below the a$$. Pull the f*ckin things up!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Good ones and I agree!!! I don't go to movies late on Friday or Saturday because it's full of teens chatting or texting on their phones. Talking or laughing about something that's not even pertaining to the movie. ![]() Pants down, GOOD ONE. pull the damn things up for crying out loud!! |

Something about the eye rolling when someone is talking about something that is exciting to them..or important to them. The one in the group who is rolling their eyes and acting as though it matters not. I find that rude even bordering mean...just walk away if you think it's stupid.

When I was younger and first started traveling outside my home territory...I thought yankees were rude. Hate to say it but, generally that is the consensus around the south.
Eventually, I realized it was simply societal differences and that northeners are good people...just with a different approach to social situations. What really p$sses me off is standing in a long line at a store and some a-hole at the checkout doing everything possible to slow the process with absolutely zero reguard for anyone else around standing in that line. I swear....if it was legal to taze those people till they pee on themselves....the lines at Wal-Mart and Big K would move a hellofa lot faster. |
