Topic: What have you learned? | |

that its not a perfect world, therefore i don't have to be perfect This is the biggest lesson I’ve learned as well. I put a tremendous amount of pressure on myself to succeed. I still have goals that I need to attain but sometimes I just can’t live up to my potential. It’s frustrating though because there is so much more to learn and accomplish. I feel lazy and undeveloped if I am not in steamroller mode. I have learned to lighten up and enjoy life a little more though. I know I can get through anything if I settle down and internalize my thoughts. I also learned to ask my friends for emotional support. Oy! I didn’t like doing that because I never want to be perceived as weak or helpless. |

Believe it or not......I have actually learned to watch my mouth and not be a complete d*#k.
(I realized this when I got an invitatation to join a site that I have been banned for life from) |

When going through a difficult time in your life, what have you learned about yourself? Me? I've learned that I was afraid to face my emotions. I've learned that I hide behind humor so people won't see the real me. And most shocking, atleast to me, I've learned that the people who love me, weren't fooled for a minute. What have you learned? I've learned that the light always seems brightest when coming out of the dark, and that it's best not to say "well, things can't get any worse". I've also learned to appreciate everything I have instead of worrying about what I don't have and that in the end, it's what I've been able to give, not get, that really matters. |

I learned that I too don't want to face emotion. I would much rather make the other person hate me so I can let it go, than face it and figure it out.
That goes for family, friends, and everyone else. |

That it was my own fault every time, and in every case, it involved bad choices I made. I've also learned what im capable of, and what im not capable of, as well as the difference between a dream, and a possibility. |

I learned I am stronger than I know. I learned that I will stubbornly cling to something when all signs show it is not going to work. I have learned that I do not control others at any level and in order to truly love them I have to let them go.
Just a few things that I learned there are many many more. |

Through out my life time I was always afraid to say what was on my mind - I have learned to say what was on my mind and I don't find anymore anger inside, just a lot of compassion and happiness. |

I've learned that to blind your self to total trust, can be a BAD THING.
I've learned that if YOU have someone for that moment,(feeling like they may be falling in-love-with-you) and YOU, let them leave, YOU may never find them again. I've learned that trying to be a great provider, to justify the time lost between you and life, is NOT WORTH IT. TIME, will NEVER FORGIVE YOU. Nor, give you a second chance. I've learned that some people who say they would love to meet you, Really just say THAT, as a time-passer, and really NOT said with much REAL THOUGHTS,wink. I've learned that some FRIENDS,,,are not really YOUR FRIENDS. I've learned that REAL FRIENDS, will,do,act, care, give, and be up-front with you,,,,,,as you would all,,,to them, wink. I've learned that some people,,,just need real, HELP... I've learned that some people just play, with life as their game. I've learned that forgiveness from some, never happens. I've learned that to be who you are, is the only way you should ever BE. AND NOW, I've learned that I type to freakin MUCH,,,,wink, lol |

Hmmm. There's my whole life that's been illuminated, so it's hard to pick out individual items easily...
I've learned that it isn't possible to bribe greedy people into behaving themselves, or becoming less greedy. I'm REPEATEDLY finding that the more I learn about everyone, the less I can outright condemn someone for their failings. There are still the willful ones catching my wrath, but I grow less upset by others mistakes every day. Every negative experience makes the world seem twice the size it was before, because of how many more possibilities I become aware of, bad and good. When my handicapped son was born, the ongoing struggle to care for him taught me that despite all the warm-sounding ads on TV and radio, there is actually VERY LITTLE support for those who have handicapped family members. There are also many MORE of us, than I thought there were. |

I've learned that some people will like me and some won't. When someone doesn't like me it usually has nothing to do with who I am. So, I'm just me having fun. If you can roll with it come along. If you can't, have a great night.
