I would do whatever it takes for those kids to be charged. There is too
much of this going on nowdays and they get away with it. They are
probably sittin' somewheres right now laughing at what they did and
bragging about the way they got away with it.

I'm so sorry for the two of you, getting your time spoiled like that.

1) Find out the badge no. of the police officers on duty there

2) Go to the hospital, get your injuries checked and filed in detail

3)Track down the taxi driver

4) File a complaint against the police

This is what I would do, or at least trying to do

Where was the other friend?

Did she sustain injuries as well.

Write down everything that occurred, while you are waiting at the
hospital...

No concurring, separately...and ask the friend to do the same.

There is a reason for this, it is now, and as your initial shock and
indignation clears, and as the slow burn begins....you will have
clarity.

Another thought for all women...a reminder as such....most mobile phones
have cameras...even if you are not a participant in a situation to
something like this...but a witness..take photos...I mean it...take as
many as you can...


We are all witnesses at times...mobile phones are tools...for many
situations...use them...

I'm sorry to hear what happened. If you have a camera handy, make sure
you get some pictures of the state you are in, because if the police do
eventually find out who these mindless thugs are you will be able to use
the photos as evidence.

we did take pics of the state we are in.....gees we had cameras on us at
the time but it was all too fast,i wasnt even thinkin straight...niether
was shelly.....it all happend so quickly!!!!i cant believe how people
hurt people the way they do.....ive just stopped cryin my little heart

both of you go together to any health food store or natural market..and
get something called " RESCUE REMEDY' it is a Bach Flower remedy for
shock and trauma. it is not a drug, it is not habit forming , but it
will work so will arnica for the bruising. buy both and follow
instructions.

..............."RESCUE REMEDY"....... it is very great. it is also
great for children who are stressed and mothers and fathers...

a few drops under the tongue

don't touch your mouth with the pipette or the bottle will become
contaminated. so just squirt the drops under your tongue every 15min
till you feel yourself leveling off. then as needed.

guys what they deserve for what they've done. Write evertything down
even the times you've made phone calls to the police and the time you
got to the hospital or whatever. Should do it while it's still fresh in

concern. 1st of all, one cannot control another's behavior. You
never choose to be rape. It should never be trivialized and treated as
simply as an occupational hazard.

I realize that your response to the rapes is a defense mechanism, but at
what cost?

Please take care of yourself, believe in yourself, remove yourself from
this environment. No one deserves this. You deserve better.

For everyone reading this thread:

If you EVER witness a similar situation - get involved! You cannot
count on the police.

For some, involvement means go in and pull the assailants off -and
forcibly detain them- until they can be questioned. For others, its
bust out pen and paper and write things down. Or get out the camera
phone and start taking pictures. Or approach the police and indirectly
let them know you are watching them to see if they perform their duties.
Or write a letter to the editor about what you witnessed.

This was Canada, right? The police in every city I've seen in the US are
the same way. They are not interested in addressing every circumstance
of injustice - they are just interested in performing their majors
duties and going home. They see far worse that what you experienced
every week... its up to you and me to take the extra steps needed to see
that justice is done.

one learns to use these experiences as an instrument , i am enabled by
my choices rather than disabled by my wounds. i have given up my
attachment to my ideas about my sexuality. once a person loses an arm
they should serioulsly reconsider a career in base ball !! i know it's

Make the police HEAR you by filing a police report,,and the taxi company
and the club both share liability, you need to contact a lawyer, and
make inquiries NOW to taxi, police,
hospital times and copies of anything proving you were there at the club
that night,,reciepts,, charge card statements, phone calls to you or out
by public phone,Your cell will show the cab time called,,and maybe the
hospital call?
Take many,many pictures of what you look like NOW,,,RIGHT NOW,,,go take
some,,,as proof to the extent of injuries sustained by the attack.
Your call to the police is everything,,,so THEY will have THAT logged
and the Taxi service will have a log also,,
The taxi service has to give your lawyer the cabby's name and car
number, then HE will be questioned and hopefully give up the parties he
transported as for YOU BOTH to seek damages,,
