'Terrorists'...
We are accustomed to seeing groups that the US arms and encourages to engage in terrorism in other countries eventually turn against: al-Qaida, Mossad, too many groups in Latin America to mention, Tim McVeigh, Noriega, etc. But less known are the groups that the US has formally identified as terrorist that we then give arms and money to. The Mujaheddin al-Khalq (MEK)are such a group. Long considered one of the most brutal of terror groups, and long on our list of evil terrorists, the US is now busy arming them and encouraging them to infliltrate Iran afrom Iraq to destabilize Iran. Does this make the US a state sponsor of terrorism? This is a good example of the silly adage: 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend'. Why silly? Because in this as in so many other cases, it is a virtual certainty that just as the MEK has fought US interests in the past it will do so again. My prediction is that the MEK will take on a greater role in fighting the US occupation of Iraq. Such is the desperation that now infects Washington. Ego and saving face has become more important than anything else. Oceans |

Also in today's news:
The EU has concluded officially that the US CIA has run secret detention camps in Poland and Rumania. This is not new news, but confirms what has long been known and denied by the US government. Now the fireworks start, as the EU moves on Poland and Rumania, while the leaders of these two twist and squirm -- and shut the camps down despite Pres. Bush's pressure. One of the things that the US public generally doesn't understand is the extent to which our so-called 'allies' in the invasion and occupation of Iraq have been bailing out the last couple of years. This will only speed that bail-out. Even the British have been drawing down their forces these last months. What do they know that the President is not admitting to the American public? Oceans |

I saw that! I also saw congress is debateing the draft!!
i think the draft should be in place...then people would fight the
policies that take them to war and boycottt the draft ENMASSE and skeer those redneck politicians back into the pig pen!!! |
I wish I could convince myself that the size and passion of the US
anti-war movement of the 70s had nothing to do with the draft, and that its absence now regarding Iraq has nothing to do with the absence of the draft.... Oceans |

So what is that telling you oceans? Bush has gone his own way
regardless of what the population wants and while Clinton blew whichever way the poll winds blew, it showed him as a spineless buffoon. Bush, being on the other end of the spectrum, has completely ignored the people who hired him. Granted, he is the boss for four years but a wise CEO listens to his people to help him make decisions that are the best as he sees it. From what I have seen it seems that the hate for Bush is far stronger than the hate for the war. If Algore was in Dubya's shoes right now with things the same at this moment, would the popular opinion be different? |
naaaaaaaaaaaaaa we hate BUSH as MUCH AS WE HATE WAR
but the worst part is that americans are getting a very raw deal..... because we hate you too for not doing something about it!!!!!!!!! you and your stupid greedy kapitalist regime has ruined the whole planet bush is the anti christ |

I think GWB said on one occasion:
Who isn't for us, is against us. He wasn't right then, but he is certainly right now. |
